In the current crisis,  volunteering and funding models of the NFP sector have been dramatically impacted.  Furthermore, many professionals are keen to help but not sure how to.

The app we are building asks volunteers to create a social cv and aggregate all their pledges of time, skills and money onto one platform so charities can put forward a specific project to the professional community who have pledged a certain amount of time, money and skills in a year to the charity sector. 

This will enable charities to get a better insight to how much money, skills and time they have access to from volunteers, so they can better plan their project delivery and also know where to go to to access specific skills such as tech, marketing, finance , UX etc.  The charities can crowd source their project team from our betterpro platform.

This will also help build the social cv of professionals as working on social projects can be a great source of capability building by stretching their thinking when working with new team members.

What is the need are you focusing on?

The need for effective, yet transparent resource allocation and management for project delivery in the charity sector.  Charities and social enterprises are struggling to find the skills they need to deliver outcomes and not clear on where they can access long term project delivery resource.  They also don't have the ability to predict exactly how much money will be raised via volunteers in the coming year as it varies to some degree year to year.

The need has been discussed as above. We are moving from being an consultancy company to a tech company. We want to create a community of better business professionals who do good.

By aggregating all time, money and skills of business professionals we intend to inspire business professionals to do more good as well help better resource allocation to the charity sector and improved collaboration between the corporate and the charity sector. This will impact 50,000 charities and over 150,000 operating Not for Profits.

There are skilled volunteering matching platforms but none that focus on aggregating time, skills and money in one place to then present it to the charity sector
