I thought of making a platform for people with business background and careers, with a vision to establish a global connection of inspirational stories. I wanted to help people share their success stories in business and help others with making theirs.

Tried and tested ways, career counselling, business guidance and coaching regarding starting a new business is my core idea with ‘Akin’.

My goal with Akin is to help business communities share their knowledge through audio-visual and readable stories. I believe that it can pave path for people to start secondary occupations amidst this COVID-19 situation. This will allow people to get help remotely and quickly.

COVID-19 has a long lasting impact . A lot of businessmen have to reconsider their old professions until there is no normalcy out there.

For example, a taxi/cab driver mostly depends on daily wages. In a crisis like this, it is certain for him to lose his primary job. In such scenario, my platform will present him with a questionnaire to suggest him a secondary job according to his experience, academics, and other factors. When he chooses an occupation, he can check with people who are successfully doing the same, through mediums of videos, podcasts, stories and comments.

What is the need are you focusing on?

We are focusing on helping businessmen and workers finding new jobs with the help of experienced people in that field, thus helping the regular generation of economy for affected businesses due to the pandemic.

Apart from that, Akin will be an informative and inspirational app for youths debuting in the business field.

Which type of submission are you sharing?

  • Sharing a pivot idea your organization is considering or could consider

Describe the business pivot or adaptation in 3-4 sentences.

With my app, I am proposing a platform for workers to get authentic help through audio-visual, story and question-answer medium from verified businessmen on board. This will generate regular wages for people who are directionless due to their inability to work in this crisis. This will establish a global connection among professionals and encourage them to seek help and start a new/secondary occupation. As mentioned, people will be presented with a questionnaire and on the basis of their backgrounds, professional help will be provided. I also wish to inculcate hope in earning members while everything else seems impossible to them.

Do you plan to implement this solution?

  • I plan to share with an implementing organization

Describe the impact that this solution will create in the world.

The idea is to generate not only wages, but a feeling of being connected. Due to quarantine, people have lost the feel of socialising and so inspirational success stories in business can glue us all globally. My target group is people who’ve stopped earning due to the pandemic. And so with the vision of restarting their wages as well as inspiring them, I’m aiming to bring in positivity. While everything seems lost for most businesses, Akin will be bringing hope and light in their lives.
