Started in 2007, RadioMilwaukee (88nine) brings together the Milwaukee community through diverse programming in both music and storytelling. The station airs local music every hour while also exposing listeners to music from around the globe on a daily basis, while also regularly running segments that highlight local events, organizations, and communities throughout the city. Leveraging the music as a way to bring people together, the station has started several initiatives that activate the community and promote positive development in Milwaukee.

RadioMilwaukee celebrates Milwaukee – its people and music, arts and culture, neighborhoods and organizations. Our mission is to make a positive difference in our community by providing a unique and adventurous blend of music and compelling, engaging content highlighting the good work going on in our city.

You’ll find us everyday at 88.9 FM, on the web, in social media and enthusiastically participating in community activities. RadioMilwaukee is public media for a new reality. Our goal is to captivate, entertain, educate and inspire. We champion diversity and encourage community engagement.

RadioMilwaukee is a 501(c)3 organization providing public media services to the greater Milwaukee area and around the world via the Internet. Guided by a board of directors, RadioMilwaukee is supported by members, donors, underwriters, community partners and volunteers.
