Future Health Threats: Imagine If...

Inspirational stories and models from around the world to help drive new approaches

Inspiration comes from everywhere. Help us imagine a world well prepared to combat future health threats. What problems need to be solved? What challenges need to be overcome? What types of solutions can transform how we are prepared to combat future outbreaks?  Be creative and inspire new thinking.

Our world is increasingly interconnected. Outbreaks like Zika, Ebola, and SARS reveal our very real vulnerabilities to major health crises—and underscore the urgent need to bolster our preparedness and capacity to respond. These interconnections also prove to be one of our greatest sources of strength in finding imaginative, innovative solutions. Whether you are an artist, teacher, doctor, community builder or technologist we want to hear what you think a world protected from global health threats looks like. We will draw upon your visions of the future throughout the entire challenge to better connect those with a chance to create solutions with those who are living the experience.

Not directly impacted? Talk with people in your community or somewhere else around the world. Use our Interview Toolkit to get started. Real insights start with real people. Collect experiences from people impacted by Zika, Ebola or SARS. This could be someone directly impacted by the disease, or a public health worker, an NGO, entomologist, doctor, veterinarian, educator, or local community leader, to better understand their experience with Zika, emotions, challenges, victories and observations.
