Case 2, Tear-offs. (+other uses)

(Can be used for Case 1. See below.)

Besides the obvious reasons below, the idea could revitalize the market. For instance, manufacturers could come into the conclusion that some product design must be redesigned for everyone’s benefit. Producers could distribute products without packaging rather they could revolutonize distribution by local packaging. An individual could use his or her own packaging, or the distibution machine (vending machine) could print packaging and wrap products real-time.

Advantages to common packaging:

  • Affordable economically.
  • Affordable environmentally, you can reuse, repurpose or upcylce materials.
  • Made by you, reused or made for you on time.
  • No transportation costs.
  • You can buy quantities as needed.
  • Available when you need it.
  • Can be made
    • before the actual usage or on time
    • from appropriate materials, paper, plant based biorenewables.

Why paper?

  • Global studies suggest that (1) the paper industry is emerging, (2) the paper industry needs new challenges.

  • I have working connections in the paper industry and a company (Mondi) adivsed me a few days ago about an upcoming trend.

Why plant?

  • We can put plants into one more application, as the value chain is not fully capitalised.

Why other materials?

  • Because you can grind nearly all materials and by making a mix, can experiment with new compounds. Reuse, recycle, re, re, re.

I’ve tried to co-op with gals, guys here, w/o success. I talk to people whereever I go, but it’s only me right now.

Case 1 usage

Users: Users with limited funds (Rajata) or Users who can solve packaging (environmentally sensitive users, hotels with no-waste policies for instance).

The idea can be used in those cases with a slight modification. They don't need 3D printing or other packaging solution. They always have their own (Rajta can collect the product, hotels can portion products directly to the end-user.)

How does this Idea redesign unrecyclable small format plastic items that often end up as waste?

Above.

Which use cases does your Idea apply to?

Case 2 (I am confident that Carmen, Michaela, Trevor and Benjamin would use the idea.)

In what geographical context or area does your Idea plan to operate / solve?

Globally.

How do you envision scaling up your Idea?

Asking influencers, celebrities to support the initiative; using free educational apps; government support; ads in central locations, airports.

At what stage of development is your Idea?

  • Research & Early Testing: You are exploring an idea, gathering inspiration and information needed to test it with real users.
  • Prototyping: You have conducted some small tests or experiments with prospective users and will continue developing idea through these tests.

Please describe how becoming a Top Idea and working with the Think Beyond Plastics Accelerator Program will help to accelerate your solution.

In case any of my ideas encourages or inspires someone, then it’s a win-win-win. Win for the society, win for the individual, win for everyone. I have experience in engineering, management, design thinking and I’m able to prototype and validate the ideas with no or minimal support from the Think Beyond Plastics Accelerator Program.

Please describe from where your Idea emerged

I’ve browsed over the ideas and I’ve facilitated design thinking iterations, alone.

Tell us about your work experience

Engineer, project manager, interested in social innovations. This is a topic, which I have a huge interest for but no experience in it.

Please describe your legal and organizational structure

I can streamline the idea to an NGO or profit organizations.
