Now a days, plastic bottle is very common thing in the world. Majority of people throw away separately plastic bottle and their caps after use. Companies collect used plastic bottles for recycling but can not collect bottle caps as they small format plastic not economical to collect and go to waste causing pollution and health hazards to human life and my idea shall save humanity from this menace of plastic caps waste.

I am presenting a new idea for change of design of plastic bottle caps. The caps of bottle will remain attached with plastic bottles even after use and companies shall not require to bother for caps collection for recycling as they (caps) would be readily available with the plastic bottles and this process shall not only be economical but also easy for collection for recycling preventing waste of small format plastic caps.

Plastic Bottles with attached caps

While using or pouring the liquid in to glasses or other utensils, the attached cap with plastic bottle shall be rotated anti clock-wise up to 180 Degree only.

It shall be attached with plastic bottle & remain non-removable. It shall be rotatable easily by 180 degree anti clock wise for use.

However remain attached with the plastic bottle even after use by the customer / end user
Thus shall be convenient for collection for recycling preventing plastic caps from being wasted and in this way economy is possible.

It will save about 10 - 15% plastic if compare previous practice of manufacturing and recycling plastic material.

The above diagrams shall clarify my deep & hard thought of plastic caps economy and recycling.

Idea Title

Economical recyclable waste-free plan

Where are you / your team located?

Karachi (Pakistan)

How does this Idea redesign unrecyclable small format plastic items that often end up as waste?

Since I am presenting the idea for design small format plastic caps from being wasted and in this way economy is possible. In my idea I am giving you the amazing replacement of these small format plastic caps.In my idea the cap will be attached to the bottle so they stays with bottle even after use and won’t go for waste and it will be easily collect-able with plastic bottle for recycling.

Which use cases does your Idea apply to?

This idea shall not only apply on plastic bottles but also this work other various types of products & brands packaging. e.g. Jar and Dry material packaging as well as Cold drinks, Coffee cups, etc.

In what geographical context or area does your Idea plan to operate / solve?

This idea is for Global implementation and shall cover the whole world.

How do you envision scaling up your Idea?

This idea shall slowly but gradually catch the markets and when supported by publicity in the right direction truthfully, it shall scale up. Obstacles shall definitely come in way as they come usually in every things. The obstacles shall be overcome by proper guidance and stress on the economic-ability and multi-purpose benefits having no waste and pollution.

At what stage of development is your Idea?

  • Research & Early Testing: You are exploring an idea, gathering inspiration and information needed to test it with real users.
  • Prototyping: You have conducted some small tests or experiments with prospective users and will continue developing idea through these tests.
  • Piloting: You have started to implement your solution as a whole with a first set of real users. You may have started to develop a business model for your idea, including identifying key customer segments, relevant partnerships, go-to-market strategy, and draft financials.
  • Full-scale roll-out: You have developed a pilot, tested, and analyzed the impact of that pilot as it pertains to the problem scope. You are ready to expand the pilot significantly and begin to scale.

Please describe how becoming a Top Idea and working with the Think Beyond Plastics Accelerator Program will help to accelerate your solution.

My idea will give an amazing change to small format plastic program. I have given economical plastic bottle caps idea in which the cap will be permanently attached with bottle so it will easily replace plastic caps that pollute environment and cannot be recycled so it causes huge waste of plastic and pollute environment as well.

Please describe from where your Idea emerged

Individual idea

Tell us about your work experience

I am graphic designer and I have done different design contests & Projects of various countries of the world and were successfully accepted and declare me winner followed by winning prize.

Please describe, in detail, your business model and how you intend to test and iterate this model.

I have developed a surprising business model which shall not only be economical, easily useable and recyclable with almost no additional cost Some users often forget after opening the bottle where they have placed the bottle caps. In my model, the caps will be attached with the bottle even after opening and using the contents of the bottle, the caps will remain intact with bottle and therefore the question of forgetting the caps after use does not arise.

Please explain how your innovation will work within, potentially improve, and provide benefit to the plastics system.

There will be no wastage of plastic. My research shall not perpetuate the existing problems of small-format packaging. There shall be no of collecting small-format packaging as the caps shall remain attached with the plastic bottles both before and after use. This is a unique waste free idea of my research one. The recycler shall get rid of the problem of collecting the small-format packaging as the caps of the bottles shall always remain attached with the recyclable plastic bottles.

Please describe, in depth, how your solution will reduce the overall environmental footprint of packaging.

My Idea is exclusively for small format recyclable packaging which has many characteristics such as hygienic, economic-ability, easy recycle-ability, easy usability and more benefits which shall be seen after coming in the Global market.

Please outline how your design, material, and delivery choices will influence price, and how you intend to address the price increase that may result from this solution.

My Idea is more economical and feasible as it will save about 10 - 15% plastic if compare previous practice of manufacturing and recycling plastic material.

Please explain how your solution will impact user behavior, and what design considerations you've included to ensure easy and intuitive interactions with your Idea.

My Idea relates to small format plastic packaging which is economical, plastic sever and cost sever as well as acceptable by the end users for its being easy to use and need nor to throw away the plastic caps as they will remain attached with the plastic bottle not only before use but also after use.

Please describe how you intend to use the prize funding, if selected as a Top Idea. Be specific.

Since basically, I am a young research minded graphic designer and advance innovator, I shall use the award to further accelerate research ideas and solution. And this will be a matter of great pleasure to me and to my research work.
