Go Clever

An application for making a change in current society. People use plastic products every single day, using plastic product has become a habit of every individual. from my point of view, it would be little difficult take the plastic products out of humans. But currently, people have got awareness about plastic waste. nowadays, people are taking responsibilities to clean their area. but somehow our environment gets affected when we throw the plastic product out after the use.

Preventing environment from the plastic waste I have come up with an innovative solution. I'm proposing here an application named Go Clever. by using this user, shop keeper, as well as waste management plant gets the benefit. built with lots of unique features, it will out stand among people to enrich people's lifestyle.

First of all, a user has to buy covers to dispose of waste which was made from recycled plastic. Since I have categorized the waste into seven types, I have given specific colour cover for specific waste. these types are covers will be sold in all kind of shops.

Black cover - Plastic and plastic related waste

Blue cover - Metal and metal related waste

White cover - Paper and paper related waste

Red cover - Glass and glass related waste

yellow cover - Corten and corten related waste

green cover - Medical and medical related waste

I haven't provided any specific coloured covers for E-waste. The reason is if a user has any E-waste at home, by simply make a schedule to collect the waste with the help of 'Go clever' app, a respective person will come home and collect it. it's not only about getting rid of waste but also providing little benefit to the waste producer.

Step 1

Download the app from the google play store and install it on a device.

Step 2

Before disposing of waste, a user has to take a scan of the bar code on the disposal plastic cover. then scanned number will be fed into the mother server.

Step 3

leaving the waste out side ready to collect it for recycling.

Step 4

once the trash reached it will be separated by colours of the cover and dropped over the conveyor for recycling

Step 5

while trash moving on the conveyor, the bar code will be red again and scanned number will feed into the mother server.

Step 6

when the two scanned number matches, some points will be given to the respective users. these points will be used while purchasing products to reduce the cost of the product in a shop.

Benefits of the recycling plant,

while collecting the trash, the waste collector doesn't need to go everywhere. the reason is, all the dustbins are made with sensors and connected with GPS system. when the trash is filled, Go Clever will give notification to the collector. by simply clicking on the notification it will redirect to the dustbin location. in this way, time and money will be saved partially.

In every recycling plant, wastes are separated and sent it to the respective sectors. it usually takes much of the time, labour, and money to do so. since I have already separated into six different waste, this can be sent directly to the respective sectors. by doing this transportation cost will get reduced.

Since it's separated by people, recycling plant doesn't need any high tech machinery anymore. by doing this, machine cost, maintenance cost, machine operating cost will reduce and profit of recycling plant will increase.

And there are other direct and indirect benefits for the recycling plant while using Go Clever app

User Benefit

First of all, a user gets a benefit on what they purchase in a shop after they obtained certain points.

People always tend to carry a certain amount of waste along with them while travelling/moving somewhere. During travelling/moving no one likes to stop in middle and search of a dustbin to throw wastes. keeping the waste for a long time makes a unpleasent smell. so they just drop the waste on the ground. but Go clever app come with the unique feature of trash locator. since all the trash is built with GPS system, by simply turning on the trash locator, it will direct the user to the trash while travelling.

The app has another feature of a book where people can read all about waste management and related stuff. not only read, if a user is interested they also can publish their own work and get comments on them.

Another fun feature is games. The game is built based how a country works on waste management/recycling plant. In this game, a city is given with limited resources, so the user has to work on the waste management/recycling plant to increase the income of the city. And also more recreational games are added in this app for kids to give awareness about waste management.

Not only these features, a user can also check out videos about waste management. if any user interested in, he/she can upload related videos for other's use.

Go clever app comes with a special feature of the locator. In a case of user find it interesting he/she can share their location with others along with what kind of social activities they do. In this way, other users will find out people with same mind set and goals. Apart from that this would help a user to find right and like-minded people to organize any kind of social activity with less effort.

Here is my contribution to make a healthy environment.

Idea Title

Go Clever

Where are you / your team located?

I live in a small town in India.

How does this Idea redesign unrecyclable small format plastic items that often end up as waste?

First of all, small, medium and large sachet packs are put it in a black cover (please refer above image) scanning the bar code and dropping it in the trash. When it does reach recycle plant user get the benefit. People get enthusiastic when they get little benefits on their work. Second of all, if the waste is not by recycling plant, others like who are interested in creating/innovating new products from waste can pick the waste and make use out of it. Therefore won't be any unrecyclable waste.

Which use cases does your Idea apply to?

As I have separated the waste into seven categories, This idea can be fit for all types of waste such as plastic products and related stuff, Corten box, steel/aluminium, glass related waste, paper and related stuff, Medical waste, and E-waste. The only thing is user has to choose the right cover for the particular waste as I have mentioned above(Page 3). Except For E-Waste.The user has to make a schedule with using go clever app. so the respective person will come and collect the E-waste

In what geographical context or area does your Idea plan to operate / solve?

Geographical won't be a matter of implementation in this idea. As long as we provide proper advertisement about it, it will get popularity by its own.

How do you envision scaling up your Idea?

I imagine, being introduced my idea into the marketplace will definitely make much of difference. in a vast way, it has some unique features, that would make a huge difference in waste management sector. There are plenty of applications are available in play store most people don't know about. The same could happen to this. but I believe, providing good advertisement about this will make popular among people. we can keep people on track by providing them much more benefits than what they expect

At what stage of development is your Idea?

  • Prototyping: You have conducted some small tests or experiments with prospective users and will continue developing idea through these tests.

Please describe how becoming a Top Idea and working with the Think Beyond Plastics Accelerator Program will help to accelerate your solution.

since I'm working alone at this moment, through this accelerator program, I believe I could find human resources, a place to work with like minded people to come up with a possible and more effective solution.

Please describe from where your Idea emerged

it's an individual idea and emerged from my hometown.
