'Brewit' is a single user coffee maker which you can carry along wherever you go. It can brew a hot cup of coffee in just a few minutes. This desktop essential will make sure that a hot cuppa is never too far away.

So if you don't have the time to get up early and make yourself a cup of coffee; carry this personal coffee maker and brew it wherever you go.

How does this Idea redesign unrecyclable small format plastic items that often end up as waste?

By providing on-the-go coffee instantly, wherever you go, it eliminates the use of coffee cups and their lids. 'Brewit' is small and compact, hence; carrying it around is very convenient. It gives freshly brewed coffee in the matter of few minutes reducing the waste caused by take away containers. This coffee can also be customized to a user's personal taste, making it a good selling point.

Which use cases does your Idea apply to?

This idea applies to Case 3 use cases People who work till late and have no time to brew a hot cup of coffee in the morning. Using 'Brewit' eliminates the waste produced by on-the-go coffee containers and thus, make both the park cleaner and environmental science student, happy.

In what geographical context or area does your Idea plan to operate / solve?

I came up with 'Brewit' keeping in mind the problems I faced, while in India. But this concept can be easily adapted to other countries as well.

How do you envision scaling up your Idea?

'Brewit' can be introduced as ' Your personal coffee maker' that helps you make a cup of fresh coffee anytime, anywhere and of your personal taste. These are good enough selling points to help introduce the product in college hostels, work places and households too. Right now, I see manufacturing and testing it as an obstacle but with the right resources and help from experts, it can be overcome.

This idea emerged from a college project. My friend and I did the initial brainstorming together and then the idea was taken ahead individually.

I am a fresh graduate. I have interned at a product design firm in Ahmedabad and an interdisciplinary design studio in Mumbai.
