This is a prototype of a machine using which we can produce plastic wire from used plastic carry bags.
How does this Idea redesign unrecyclable small format plastic items that often end up as waste?
This is the design of projected new single use plastic sachet and how it is more efficiency to recycle over old one.
To prevent these plastic packaging waste we will not through these packaging into soil or fire. We will collect these and produce wire using machine and sale the wire and make toys or use as binding rope
Which use cases does your Idea apply to?
My idea will help to the persons who are like Saatwika, who is the waste collector in Pune, India. They will collect the single use plastic sachet like plastic carry bags and pouches and then produce wire using my device and either produce toys or use as binding object as rope.
How do you envision scaling up your Idea?
I have the statistics that in India there are 66% of plastic waste in 60 cities belongs to the HDPE or LDPE which are suitable to recycle into the wire. So a large amount of raw materials are available in India. So if we use these then the market place will be large.
At what stage of development is your Idea?
Prototyping: You have conducted some small tests or experiments with prospective users and will continue developing idea through these tests.
Please describe how becoming a Top Idea and working with the Think Beyond Plastics Accelerator Program will help to accelerate your solution.
To accelerate my solution any government should distribute my model in to lower economic communities so that they can gather used plastic bags and produce plastic wire using my device. This will produce self employees and reduce pollution.
Please describe from where your Idea emerged
Tell us about your work experience
I have a plastic tensile report which shows the strength of were comparing to its raw tape. And the length of the production comparing to its raw material.
Please describe your legal and organizational structure
I have filed the provisional filing in India. I am working individual.
I have tested the tensile of plastic both raw material and wire from a reputed R& D institution. The strength of the wire is very high than the strength of its raw material. This is the model testing report.
