Who is your idea designed for and how does it better support family caregivers as they care for a loved one with dementia?

I used to care as volunteer for dementia and having similar answer sheet would helpful for me to answer patient with no short term memory. As Also, the main issue of people facing the dementia is they do not really able to deal with the symptoms effectively on their end, and lots of time they spend to take care of daily needs of the dementia patient to enjoy themselves. Other ways i see is dementia people uses it to talk to another dementia patient on supporting each other in journey

For my case, dementia is related to the Front End Temporal Dementia (FTD) mainly, but realizing that a visual communicator of cheap cost with support enabler to community group and even other dementia patients may relieve the stress of the caregiver.

Couple of situation that is mentioned in the Facebook Group that I have joined for Dementia Caregiver Support Group mentioned that helplessness on handling their daily issue.

The visual communicator tool helps the unwanted caregiver who may have been forced to help care for the dementia parents, thus a similar guidebook with chat support group with the website, and phone numbers enabled as app would be handy for their needs.

Also, I am thinking to see if dementia patients can remind each other of the potential dangerous or forgetful behaviour, as this would be beneficial for caregiver support addition and also to get involvement of patient themselves in road of potential recovery , however slim the chances are (as always patient themselves can understand themselves better of seeing same situations they face in other patients)

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

I will prototype with a picture communicator sheet (similar with the attachment) of their common situation occur to their caregiver, and typical Q&A answer. Also, the next phase of the test would be involve some simple video streaming (like Facechat) to enable dementia patient recognize symptom their are occurring with others and remind each other. How might cross collaboration occurs with other region who may be exploring similar idea (but different visual representation, ie walking stick

What skills, input, or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

-Cross collaboration exploration with solution provider in other regions outside South East Asia who may be exploring similar idea (but different visual representation, ie walking stick, etc. -Care giver innovator in other region -Technology developer who may be able to bring these ideas to life.
