Managing Behaviors

The act of caring for a loved one with dementia intensifies with the onset of complex behaviors and loss of memory. Family caregivers are often tasked with managing a wide spectrum of behaviors—such as aggression, agitation, depression, and confusion.

How might we prepare caregivers to monitor their loved one’s condition? What are solutions that allow caregivers to better manage the sensory, cognitive, and social activities of persons with dementia?
