Who is your idea designed for and how does it better support family caregivers as they care for a loved one with dementia?

There are two primary users: the patient and the caregiver. The idea is to create a platform that can enhance the daily routines of those users. Personalised programs that will be able to connect patients, caregivers and professionals.

MIND POWER is a mobile application aiming to assist people living with dementia. Supporting patients and caregivers to enjoy better daily routines and creating a platform that can enhance their communication.

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

It would be a great to get my idea tested. Initial users test to identify opportunities, to refine my concept to the specific needs that I am trying to cover with the mobile application.

What skills, input, or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

Support from professionals. In order to build this concept, it would valuable to get support from all the areas involved. Programmers, health advisers, organisations involved in working with dementia, etc. Advice to support my next steps.

Hi Rodrigo Fernando - thanks for submitting your idea! It seems really in line with the focus of this Challenge. Do you have more information on what the user experience looks like? I took a look at the attachment and am wondering how someone like James would use Mindpower. Thanks!
