"My life is my message"

All great movements create a "on ramp" for positive mass collaboration--not just protest. Remember Gandhi's tactics. Not only did he say--we should be the change we want to see--but when asked what is your message, he said "My life is my message,"

Gandhi's philosophy was not theoretical but one of pragmatism, that is, practicing his principles in real time. Asked to give a message to the people, he would respond, "My life is my message."

Two things were interesting--the principle of non-cooperation with systems he wanted to "eclipse"--and the principle of mass collaboration. He created a symbolic act to show independence--where everyone would weave their own cloth--whereby people were living in the independence future before it arrived. And the act was simple enough (and filled with such symbolism) that millions could participate.

How might we create an on-ramp for living in the post-unsustainable future--already?

I love the idea of creating a positive vision of the future: how might we imagine the positive headlines about a world off fossil fuels, a world of thriving, flourishing businesses, people and natural environment?
