Eurovision is a song contest where nations compete against each other to select the best singer in Europe. Instead of singing, countries can compete for the best World Benefit project, presented in a CNN Heroes-like show. People around the world vote
Eurovision is a passionate affair where entire countries really get behind the musicians representing them. Maybe we can leverage this sort of national identify and enthusiasm for World Benefit projects as well. Countries can really focus on the causes most important to them, and then come together in a worldwide competition, staged like the
CNN Heroes event, to share their achievements.
How does your concept celebrate, identify or inspire for-profit businesses that act as agents of world benefit?
Since this will be staged like Eurovision or CNN Heroes, it will be a big media event. Business may be interested in participating especially for the PR they could earn.
How will your concept help us create or leverage stories of world benefit that are sticky and shareable?
Due to the media coverage, there will be a lot of video available on each country's project. People across the world vote for the winners, so it's likely these videos would be readily shared.
What will it take to scale your concept so that its reach is global and widespread?
A lot of planning and funds needs to go into this concept. Given that media companies across the globe could benefit, they may be willing to foot the bill for it, and help with the planning.
