I know them from actual events: conferences, expo and workshops. Others, I know them via Twitter and email/Skype communications.

How is the idea unique? (750 Characters)

Despite they are rare, Medical professionals who are talented artists, are more equipped to send an accurate, direct and simple vaccines awareness message than the rest who don’t have this combination. Today, it is the best time to call them for actions because in the 2019, the World Health Organization (for the first time in its history) declared Vaccines Hesitancy among the TOP 10 threats for the public health (246 deaths/day = 10/h from Measles, a VPD!). In fact, the root of the problem is communities’ low science literacy. While videos have been used extensively in immunization awareness campaigns, they failed to build literacy. This why our model is comics-based and made by medical experts would be a great gateway for health literacy

As a science educator, I find Virology Comics a wonderful tool in the battle against medical disinformation. It is exactly the right combination of science facts and engaging artwork that this world needs in the effort to protect our families and the global community itself from re-emerging diseases.
