TARGET AUDIENCES:
The Film Industry offers a variety of careers not necessarily for the educated lot, but to every class of people willing to seize an opportunity in the industry. Therefore, apart from the many graduate unemployed youths roaming the streets of our towns and cities, those in the bushes in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon fighting for liberation and those that have joined Boko Haram in the North of Cameroon, we intend to target some other vulnerable people in society. There are the students from secondary and high school and university graduates. There are also Amateur Film Actors and Producers who would need to upgrade their knowledge in their respective fields. There are also ex-convicts from prisons and those from reformation centers, those in orphanages and handicap centers and others in the job market and some other underemployed. With the ongoing political unrest in Cameroon, we would also target those who are internally displaced, refugees, etc

How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)

The impact of this program on the Cameroonian economy and within the Sub-Region will be massive. It will largely and generally reduce the rate of youth unemployment through the training of new skills and ease particularly the problem of occupational immobility. The program will train youths in skills development, moral upliftment and job creation; it will offer collaborative opportunities for the Cameroonian Film Sector to work in other African markets and enhance regional co-existence. It will definitely encourage film makers to produce uplifting Cameroon and African stories and encourage the writing of many other folk stories of yesteryears. Due to expanding linkages, it will create film distribution pipelines that will enable filmmakers to sell their films across borders as well as assist film students to secure intercontinental roles. In all, the program will offer new career options to youths who are desirous of a career in acting, film-making and in the field of arts.
