The idea of provide entrepreneurship skills training (fruits and vegetable farming and poultry farming) through mobile distance learning using smart phones and app to youth (young graduate, form four and form six leavers) aged 18-30 current facing with the challenge of unemployment, who demonstrate passionate and commitment in fruits, vegetable and poultry farming. The idea will prepare youth facing with the challenge of unemployment into self-employment. The project will use a mobile subject-app with audiovisual content, PDF files and which can be used for sharing comments in a specific channel of micro blogging twitter to provide entrepreneurship skills training to youth facing with the challenge of unemployment as a means to prepare them for self-employment. Set up will be developed following App inventor website that is free available for anyone to use. In app inventor we will create the user interface, selecting components for the mobile application in a browser by using design tool and then program it with a drag and drop “block editor” that runs on the computer using Java web start. App inventor comes with a simulator alleviating which will enable to test the application even if there is no device. The project will install the software to the smart phones which will be used to provide training.

Education program specialists in the field of poultry, fruits and vegetables farming will use the app to share knowledge and skills with youth facing with the challenge of unemployment who are passionate about agriculture and poultry farming to start working on it as an alternative income generating activities to alleviate poverty among them.
The curriculum of Entrepreneurship Education to stir up employment prospects to TVET graduate in Tanzania established by The National Council of Technical Education of Tanzania in 2015 will be used to provide a six weeks (6) training of the project

Who are the beneficiaries? (1,000 characters)

Our beneficiaries are form four, form six and graduate in various field (youth) aged 18-35 facing with the challenges of unemployment.The idea will involves with providing entrepreneurship skills to youth. After training the alumnae will be put into groups, each group will have 3 to 4 people basing on their area of interest and geographical location. In collaboration with their education program specialist each groups will establish project which can be either fruits or vegetable farming or poultry farming. On the side of fruits and vegetable farming we will advice them to work on watermelon, onions, tomatoes, beans, potatoes, eggplants and cucumber while in poultry farming we will advice them to work on keeping indigenous chickens. Each group will be supported with seed capital depending on their area of interest by entering into contract with TANZANIA YOUTH ORGANIZATION so that they can pay back after harvesting .

The idea is unique because it will use communication technological development as an easiest and cost effective way of solving unemployment challenges in Tanzania
The program will prepare youth (young graduate, form four and form six leavers) facing with the challenge of unemployment into self-employment through online entrepreneurship skills training (particularly fruits and vegetable farming and poultry farming)
It will organize youth (young graduate, form four and form six leavers) facing with the challenge of unemployment into groups basing on their geographical location and area of interest in entrepreneurship which can be either fruits and vegetable farming or poultry farming.
The program will help each group to establish income generating activities basing on their area of interest which can be fruits and vegetable farming or poultry farming.
The program will provide facilities required for youth facing with the challenge of unemployment.

In Tanzania young people have few opportunities to learn skills to help them start and sustain business for income earning. Youth unemployment is extensive in Tanzania prevalence of unemployment in Tanzania is regarded as a major national development challenge both economically and socially. In Tanzania access to financial support is extremely low with only 4% of young people having access to micro-credit. Youth struggle to meet qualifying criteria for financial support to start a business.

Please explain how your selected topic areas are influenced, in the local context of your project (1,000 characters).

In our local community planet has been experience with little climate change with plenty water bodies and fertile land, our idea also will take into consideration of environment conservation during implementation of the idea while prosperity affect with increase of population and lack of capital to invest in various income generating activities a situation which hinder most of Tanzania youth to have stable source of income.

Who will work alongside your organization in the project idea? (1,000 characters)

Tanzania Youth Organization will work in collaboration with district councils particularly agriculture department, community development, youth groups and other non governmental organization working with youth. Agriculture department will be involved in conducting training, establishing and providing advice on income generating activities, community development department will be involve in recruiting youth for the training and through reporting the project development and youth groups also will involved in recruiting youth for entrepreneurship skills training. The results of this process of engagement will be efficient and effective implementation of the project.

Business related to agricultural
• Fruits and vegetables ( watermelon, onions, tomatoes, beans, potatoes, eggplants and cucumber)
Businesses related to fishing in rivers and small lakes
• Selling fresh fish.

In the first phase the project will be operated in 2 regions (Mbeya and Njombe) in Tanzania

The project will be implemented in 36 months and we expect each quarter to have 100 alumnae and 12 youth income generating activities.

Hi bikash Gurung, thank you for you comments, the benefits of benefits of MIT app inventor Versus Android app development software is that it will allow education program specialist (agriculturalist) to write educational apps tailored specifically to his subject to the target youth that will be fruits, vegetable and poultry farming. Also will allow youth to learn in their respective area while they will continue with other work or activities. The content will be depth due to the fact that the education program specialist will share all the required knowledge and skills on fruits, vegetable and poultry farming to youth through educational apps with the aim to promote self employment among youth. The penetration range of Smart phone by Youth [ 18-35 ] age groups is low we are planning to have smart phones for the project and we will have enrollment sequence where each trainee will be given a smart phone for learning and after completing the training will be required to turn back so as to be distributed to other enrolled class.
The challenge which I thick I will face in implementing this specific project is the issue of commitment among youth as the training will be conducted through distance learning so it require each one to have self commitment to the program.
