Explain your project idea (2,000 characters)
The DRC is experiencing a worrying rate of unemployment, especially of the young population. The ejection rate of young people on the Jobs market is totally disproportionate with the creation of jobs.
This situation is at the origin of the involvement of youth in odious acts including theft, political manipulation, drug use, banditry, illegal migration, recruitment by rebel groups and armed gangs, etc….
In the eastern part of the country, long disturbed by wars and rebellions, the situation has a special character. Many young people have been recruited and served in the armed bands, hoping to solve the financial difficulties and improve their living conditions.
Facing this situation, young people take different options as a survival instinct. Some embark in small entrepreneurial activities, with several challenges, including lack of capacity, lack of access to microfinance institutions for financial support in terms of credit, but also lack of technical support (coaching).
The strategy consists in setting up projects integrating youth entrepreneurship. These projects are simultaneous with the capacity building in active entrepreneurship of young job seekers . They will serve as a practical framework for theoretical concepts learned by young people at each stage of training. Each stage of the entrepreneurial process will need to be illustrated by an ongoing activity: The business idea (its source and its evaluation), market research, marketing, competition, management and evaluation and the business plan of the entrepreneurial activity. The training will be closed by the development of the business plan of the idea imagined, and evaluated by the beneficiary. A jury will evaluate the business plans, and the beneficiaries who have developed innovative plans, will receive financial support as a refundable credit. The technical support will be provided by Ghovodi. The income of activities and remboursement of credits will make the permanent fund.
Who are the beneficiaries? (1,000 characters)
The project will have as direct beneficiaries 100 young graduates job seekers, who will benefit from training and will be able to benefit from the business plan fund of their ideas, 20 young people will be employed in the entrepreneurial demonstration activities that will be set up by Ghovodi to illustrate the formations. Among the indirect beneficiaries of the project, members of the community especially women dealing with small trade to survive whose households will benefit from the entrepreneurial activities set up by Ghovodi. Indeed, Since some young people demonstrate talents, and others have benefited from professional training, they will be recruted as beneficiaries to set up and run other activities such as making soap, producing school chalks, baking, producing works artistic, etc. Other unemployed youth will surely be hired in activities of trained youth. The whole community will also benefit, by the reduce of youth peace destabilisation activities in the community.
How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)
The idea finds its relevance in the following 3 facts:
• The idea is unique because it many initiatives have been tried to solve the problem, but with this projet, this is the first time that we will implement a permanent fund of youth entrepreneurship. This will make the project more sustainable. Many young people imagine business ideas but are faced with challenges of lack of capacity building, and lack of access to both technical and financial support. This leads to the failure of their initiatives;
• This idea will have an impact on the consolidation of peace, which in the current socio-political context of the region remains relative and weakened by poverty, especially young graduates. Additional impact of the project is that it reduces the youth exposure to politicians manipulations and then prevent their involvement in post election troubles, as it has been, in last elections.
• This idea is also unique as it will allow the implementation of local development plans

Please explain how your selected topic areas are influenced, in the local context of your project (1,000 characters).
Unemployement is source of youth poverty. This is affecting peace stability in our area, as young people try to solve their problem by any means, including those affecting security. Young people weakened by poverty do not resist the solicitations of rebel groups or politicians to disturb the peace. The context of North Kivu is that these young people are part of the armed groups entrenched in the Virungas Park, from which they operate. They loot villages, kidnap people and demand rancons and rape women. They engage in the illegal exploitation of natural resources (poaching, mining deforestation, ....) and thus destroy the environment. They disturb the tourist activities, and recently they have killed the park guards.The DRC is preparing for elections, in a tense socio-political environment. There is a risk that politicians, for small amounts of money, will profit from the unemployment of young people to cause troubles
