P-E-O-P-L-E BASED HEALTH AND HERBAL CARE TO BRIDGE PLANET AND THE PROSPERITY
We are Building; Liberating and Enabling people to know more / to do more / to have more and be more – FULLY ALIVE.
Explain your project idea (2,000 characters)
We all aware of the fact that any opposition to Allopathic medical system that is a powerful medical giant would immediately suppress any upheavals against them with severe repercussions. Hence, we don’t propose any direct conflict through this project. We plan changes in an evolutionary way through these following techniques.
Gathering locally available home remedies and herbal Practices and systematically recording them
Scientifically proving their authenticity and effectiveness
Getting authorizations from Health Institutions & Govt. Departments
Promoting home remedies and herbal practices among people through education and training
Building self-confidence in people that they can heal 85% of diseases by themselves; 15% with a nurse and 5% through a doctor
Training local women as herbal guides to their villagers
Remunerating Herbal Guides
Propagating ‘Health care by people’; ’Home remedies; herbal plants and herbal medicines through media.
We wish to use the participative leadership style through which:
Beneficiaries would increase their participation in organizational and financial responsibilities.
Project holders (NGOs) would decrease their organizational and financial responsibilities.
People would increase their participation year by year and be independent from the sixth year.
After discontinuing the partnership with GHR from the fourth year, COMFORD along with NGO collaborators would enjoy the equal partnership with beneficiaries. From the sixth year, we would replicate the project in new areas of Tamilnadu and enable new groups not only to enjoy a healthy living but also to handover their traditional home remedies and herbal practices to future generations.
Who are the beneficiaries? (1,000 characters)
8000 interested rural persons from seven Districts of Tamilnadu, India who are:
Unaware of the Allopathic business code: ‘Pay the bills for the diagnosis, treatments and medication given’.
Frightened through false information about the dire outcome of diseases and the urgent need to undergo high cost treatment.
Enslaved to fall in line with the allopathic medical system and to give up herbal and home remedies;
Thrown into increased sufferings; financial insecurities; property losses; inability to fulfil educational and social needs of children; pre-matured deaths; and suicides.
Deprived of the age-old Government facility for free admission, diagnosis; treatments, medication etc.
Ignorant of their own home remedies and gave them up under the pretext of not having the magical immediate healing
Seeking magical immediate healing from pain and diseases
Forced to distrust herbal practices as unscientific and superstitious
How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)
My idea enables people:
To lead and handle affairs by themselves.
To be knowledgeable; skilled and capable to groom each other as:
Utilizers of locally available home remedies for ordinary ailments
Utilizers of herbal seeds, roots, stems, flowers, and fruit etc., for severe illnesses.
Preservers of herbal seeds, shrubs, plants, bushes and trees
Enablers of everyone to make and use traditional herbal medicines..
My idea is neither a free distribution to affected communities nor doing ordered jobs and submitting reports. By the end of the fifth year, people would be 100% responsible for their programs. NGOs would be either consultants or well-wishers. This is going to differ us from other Change agents. If you ask me the question: What would you do for finanance once the Project of GHR gets over? People would reply as: “Ask us. We would collectively decide and tell you what our course of future plans” would be. This process would be a successful one.
Idea Proposal Stage (choose one)
Full Scale Roll Out: I have already tested and scaled this idea significantly with the intended user base.

Organization Filing Status
Yes, we are a registered non-profit.
In 3-4 sentences, tell us the inspiration or story that encouraged you to start this project.
In the year 2010, when I was conducting health and herbal sessions in villages of Thoothukudi District, women were complaining of uncontrollable fever intermingled with joint paints and bleeding. I taught them to make Nilavembu decoction with locally available 9 herbal plants. As the viral fever was spreading to many villages, I had assisted 8 NGOs to prepare the Nilavembu packets; distributed it to 30000 persons and saved their lives. Seeing the success story, the Health Dept. had approved it.
Please explain how your selected topic areas are influenced, in the local context of your project (1,000 characters).
Indian Allopathic Medical System in 70 years, though achieved Medical Monopoly, had failed to make people healthy. It had secretly turned the Allopathic System, a multi-national business industry.
When NGOs were against the System’s secret Agenda, the Allopathic Medical System tried to control them through techniques of Suppression; Trend changing; Life threatening; Bribing; Modern Innovation and facilities.
Though those Multi-faceted attacks of the Allopathic Medical System had crushed some efforts of NGOS and Social Groups, it did not succeed in closing those efforts of NGOs. As an alternative, NGOs had brought the new move: P-E-O-P-L-E PROCESS.
Enabling people to be alive and be masters of their own destiny.
This P-E-O-P-L-E PROCESS was not to bring in commotion against the medical giant but to enable people to manage their health affairs by themselves by bringing their Heads, Hands and Hearts together.
