Explain your project idea (2,000 characters)

Okoa jamii means save the community in kiswahili. Gender based violence, child abuse and discrimination against persons with disability mostly go unpunished because who commit them are family members and close relatives. The victims fear reporting and if they want to, they do not know the procedures and where to report to. Okoa Jamii will enable the victims or any witness to report such crimes and we will make sure it reaches the competent authorities.Gender based violence, child abuse and discrimination against persons with disability mostly go unpunished because who commit them are family members and close relatives. Who are the beneficiaries? (1,000 characters)

The beneficiaries will be women children and persons with disability that suffer from domestic violence.

How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)

It is unique in that it put emphasis on the disadvantaged in our communities unlike other innovations which focus on all crimes in general. Children and persons with disability don’t have a voice and our innovation will empower them and others who witness the crimes done to them to report and their messages will reach the relevant authorities to handle the case and help save them from their misery.

hello Dr Jin Lee,
Thank you for your support, i have gone through your idea and i am really in love with it. I think it is a platform that should be available to developing countries such as my home country Kenya, we have a huge problem tracking children development at a tender age. We should look for a way you can reach out and offer those services here.
Yes i would love to partner with you , Here is my email (abubakarmbarak99@gmail.com)
