Hello Nomusa!
The Rural Synergy Foundation is looking to provide an education in coding as part of our apprenticeship program. What kind of success are you seeing with your participants? Is it a skill that anyone can be competent? Do you just do an introduction? If so where do you participants continue their coding education? You can see our pilot: https://challenges.openideo.com/challenge/bridgebuilder2/ideas/rural-synergy-foundation-bridging-urban-and-rural-for-peace-and-economic-sustainability
I would love to know your thoughts!

Hi Christina
Thank you for your comments, we are doing the introduction to coding using Minecraft Hour of Code from Code.org curriculum and Scratch. We don't do a full course on CS education. When learners are motivated to take up careers in IT they also need to do hands on experience and that's we do in the Mpumalanga ICT Club.

Nomusa,
This is very helpful. I have looked at code.org briefly but didn't realize we could introduce it to a wide audience in an hour. Our program has a pre-apprenticeship component the Hour of Code would be perfect to utilize! Thank you for sharing this information!
