Establish new aquaculture business for new trainee who has completed interns
Place newly train on internship
Expand existing aquaculture facilities to accommodate the interns to gain experience
Liaise fisher folks with Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development (MOFAD) and the Fisheries Commission (FC), Ministry of Agricultural and Ministry of Youth and Employment.
OTEF expected to reach out all fishing villages along the Volta Lake in the greater Accra region to educate them on modern fish farming (Aquaculture) practices, Rights of the Child, and to stop the use of Child Labourers in any form.
Elimination of poverty through skill training, fisherfolks education child labour, fisherfolks capacity building and empowerment through alternative Livelihood approaches such as Cage fish farming, train the fisherwomen too in modern fish processing, basic credit management, basic auditing, basic bookkeeping, capacity building for fish market-driven approach to initiatives, branding strategies, Access to global supply chains and markets, connect fisher folks to banks and financial institutions for financial assistant
Provide periodic capacity building for newly train youth on business management to enable them create business and manage their own business.
Train educated beneficial how to conduct Market Research to identify opportunities and constraints of selected sub-sector.
Free modern fish farming training for 20,000 fisher folks including fish processors, fish farmers, fish mongers and aspire fish farmers especially the youth.
Prepare and deliver education on benefits of aquaculture for nutritional purposes for individual and nation
Provide access to market
Conduct Market Research to identify opportunities and constraints of selected sub-sector
Support the existing farmers with fish feeds
Train unskilled youth to be aquaculture entrepreneurs
Prepare and deliver training to Community-Based Agricultural Extension

Our beneficiaries are Women, youth, unemployed university graduates and unskilled people ages 18 to 35 years who are total dependence for daily living.
How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)
The project will generate income to establish more aquaculture businesses for trainees who has completed their internship. More youth would be trained using internally generated funds. Beneficial Credit Support in the form of materials and equipment for expansion to existing Farmers. The project will placed the new trainees to do internship with the established farmers, to do that we need to expand existing facilities to accommodate the new interns.

OTEF is an NGO in Ghana and registered 2015, the principal activities of OTEF ARE: Community Economic Development, heath, safe drinking Water, Agriculture & Clean Energy. The nature of our business is Community Development and Economic Development. OTEF which have one of it’s objectives to provide the youth with skill training programmes purposely for the unskilled youth, also to alleviate poverty through modern fish farming, end child labour, create sustainable livelihood for poor communities.

Our inspiration came from university graduates formed "Association of unemployment graduates" with 10s of thousand members. Economic challenges in the country, low skill training among the youth due to lack of financial support and poor livelihood.

Improve and more equitable farming learning outcomes through quality farm education, increase farm production and create sustainable livelihood, Increase food security through farming entrepreneurship. Farm education on investment, capacity building and empowerment.

Opportunity Two Excel Foundation believes that inadequate community involvement is common reasons most projects fails or little is achieve. We have engaged the communities in the planning level, the foundation will continue with them to project execution, monitoring and evaluation to achieve 100% project success. Communities are the people who will benefit from the development activity or whose interests may be affected, the vulnerable or marginalized groups that are normally left out of planning processes were also included during the planning. The community’s participation has been central to the planning process as they are both important and influential.

In line with our belief in communities renewals concepts which our organization name depicts as well as our youth development initiatives, we seek to identify, recruit, train and groom young and old fisher folks and prospective Fish Farmer at our project site. They would go through an intensive training programme prior to commencement of their career. The communities have the lakes around them and with them. They have swimming experience and 90% of them have traditional fishing experience.
