Explain your project idea (2,000 characters)

After the idea and vision from GOD, I carried out a survey that sampled 1000 Cameroonians with questionnaires and interviews as my sole method for data collection. The following were my findings;
-100% of our sample said they have wasted or are keeping something redundant which could be given out to the needy, simply because they don't have time moving around to look for who needs what they are wasting or keeping redundant
-Majority of our sample said the reason they don't help is because of the too many intermediaries between the Needy persons and those who want to help, making the help not to always reach its destination
LovingHearts then came up with an innovative platform that is the use of ICT tools (Social media sites, website, mobile app etc. though not limited to) in connecting needy loving Hearts to Giving Loving Hearts through our different channels and platforms with the help of our volunteers spread out all over the national territory and some abroad as this goes a long way to eliminate the too many intermediaries who use vulnerable for selfish gains and make their needs not to be reached effectively. So far we have been able to connect about 800 Loving Hearts through our different platforms.
Also Loving Hearts through the skills, talents, resources, and services of our members, volunteers, ambassadors, and well-wishers, we identify vulnerable and less-privilege communities and step up to connect with them and offer all the aforementioned in our own little way, ranging from free consultation and treatment, donation of first aid boxes, Study Materials, dresses, training them with life-sustaining skills etc. So far we have been able to reach out to about 10 vulnerable and less-privileged communities in Cameroon. Also, we have branches doing same work in Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda

Basically, we advocate for the fact that "the world doesn’t need peace, but needs to be peaceful, what the world needs is LOVE to be peaceful"

Who are the beneficiaries? (1,000 characters)

Loving Hearts Project is designed to make sure that the Needy Loving Hearts (less privileged and vulnerable) as well as the Giving Loving Hearts benefit from this project as the needs of the needy will be satisfied and then the objectives of the Giving Loving Hearts will also be achieved. Loving Hearts Project comes in to complement and supplement the work of International Stakeholders like the United Nations, World Bank, FAO, UNICEF, UNHCR, WHO, etc., Regional Stakeholders like AU, BEAC, etc., as well as National Stakeholders like Government, Political Parties, Orphanages, Medical Institutions, NGOs, Individuals, Churches, etc.
The real and direct beneficiaries of the Loving Hearts Project are Vulnerable and less-privileged communities and persons in the society who are mostly women and children of all age groups.
Loving Hearts envisage as direct impact to build about 1000 Loving Heart communities of more than 2 and above persons by 2020 in Cameroon

How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)

LHP proposes a permanent, rather than an episodic response to society’s problems. A solution that is grounded in empathy and practice of love based on a non-market approach. Using ICTs, we aim at bringing together Giving Hearts and Needy Hearts to redistribute food and other basic needs, making sure these resources, which would have been otherwise wasted or kept redundant, are made available to those who need it in safe and clean conditions. These ICT tools and apps will help solve the issue of time for the caring and giving loving hearts who have something that could be wasted or that is being kept redundant but could be given out to a needy loving heart.
Apart from helping connect Loving Hearts, as well as eliminate the too many intermediaries between them, Loving Hearts team members, volunteers, and ambassadors also identify and reach out to the less privileged and vulnerable communities of persons with their own skills and resources through different outreaches and platforms

Idea Proposal Stage (choose one)

  • Early Adoption: I have completed a pilot and analyzed the impact of that pilot on the intended users of the idea. I have begun to expand the pilot for early adoption.

After seeing from two angles, the misery in the world; from children in Africa dying from diseases, most of which are preventable and treatable, to hunger and poverty as well as from high level extremist activities and on the other hand observing the way others live in excess wasting and even keeping redundant useful resources that could benefit someone out there because of lack of time and too many intermediaries between them and the vulnerable communities. So Loving Hearts was born.

Please explain how your selected topic areas are influenced, in the local context of your project (1,000 characters).

I asked myself how this gab of misery and excess could be bridge given that there are a lot of persons with skills, talents, services, and resources who are ready and looking for platforms to offer these to vulnerable and less-privileged communities of persons for free. Loving Hearts believe that PEACE is the output from the LOVE function. If individuals could do their part in building communities full of LOVE the entire planet will fulfill its mission of making humanity better in action and not in words.

Who will work alongside your organization in the project idea? (1,000 characters)

It took Loving Hearts about a year to start implementing the project idea because we wanted to make sure we had the right team to go public. Loving Hearts is made up of Members, Volunteers, Ambassadors and Well-Wishers scattered all over Country Cameroon and out of the country who take much joy in what we do. Normally what Loving Heart does is to engage in connecting Vulnerable and less-privileged communities and persons like Orphans, women, patients, etc to persons who contact us with the desire and will to support such persons. Apart from that Loving Hearts also carry out a thorough need base assessment of these communities and through the skills, talents, services, and resources of their members, volunteers, ambassadors, and well-wishers reach out and connect to these communities of persons leaving a smile on their faces and making them know that the society can still be a better place if we all love one another genuinely. ALso these helps make to be less vulnerable to societal ills

Please share some of the top strengths identified in the community which your project will serve (500 characters)

What an awesome and most timely message: "Basically, we advocate for the fact that "the world doesn’t need peace, but needs to be peaceful, what the world needs is LOVE to be peaceful." While it may not be directly relevant to your activities, I am inspired to invite you to consider exploring the resources, many that are free, from the non-profit Institute of HeartMath (https://heartmath.org) and The Love Center (www.thelovecenter.com) which offers free online resources for Becoming a Love Master and Becoming a Peace Master! Best wishes on your continuing successes!

Sir, Thank you very much for endorsing our message which comes at a time when the whole World greatly needs it be sustainable. I am also glad and honored to welcome your invitation to explore the bulk and rich resource of the non-profit institute which will go a long way to help me add value to myself and the project as a whole.

Just for our short time in implementing our project we have hard great testimonies coming from persons who because of our activities believe that the world can still be a better place for all to live in.

Thank you for your reply and congratulations on the fact that you are receiving testimonials demonstrating the significance and timeliness of your programs. As I reread your statement "Basically, we advocate for the fact that the world doesn’t need peace, but needs to be peaceful, what the world needs is LOVE to be peaceful" I am again inspired to introduce you to The Love Center publications and programs created by our friends Scott and Shannon Peck. Many of their books are about love and healing including The Top 60 Love Skills You Were Never Taught: Secrets of a Love Master. I first met the Pecks and attended their first live training on Becoming a Love Master in about 2001 and it was one of the most powerful and empowering programs I have ever attended. They now offer that program with videos for free on their web site at www.Thelovecenter.com.

More recently, like you, they realized the need for peace education and they created another free program also available on their web site on Becoming A Peace Master, also with videos. Offhand, and as a student of successful life, work and entrepreneurship skills for about 50 years, I can't think of any resources more relevant to and supportive of your project that those for Love and Peace from The Love Center! You might also find that your program is alignment with another non-profit organization we recommend through our Gaia Soul Alliance Foundation (https://gaiasoulalliancefoundation.org/) and that is https://thelovefoundation.com/
