Explain your project idea (2,000 characters)

The Democratic Republic of Congo is a very vast country in Africa considered as half of its continent in population. These fratricidal wars have caused many diseases in the life of the people especially the most vulnerable besides the numbers of the dead.We have the current cases of the following diseases: cholera, yellow fever, malaria, typhoid, amoebas etc.and recently we learned that they have found another case of Ebola in the capital of Kinshasa. On the electricity side, let's not talk anymore. the latter comes rarely and not permanently. People live in full darkness especially those inside. People use during the night small lamps with palm oil to see clearly. That's why to avoid these consequences and save the lives of our main beneficiaries (orphaned and abandoned children), RAAPS-UK through myself, seeks to create clean water wells, because water plays a vital role in people's lives and also install solar panels for the study of these children and light their homes and surroundings. It is a very important problem because it's about people's lives. We need to protect , save and look after our orphaned and abandoned children for their integration into a new society.

Who are the beneficiaries? (1,000 characters)

The main beneficiaries of this project are orphaned and abandoned children aged 3-18, followed by poor families and widows, most of whose husbands died during the war and could not afford the water and electricity bills in their homes. We will try to register some of these most vulnerable families to benefit in this project as well. RAAPS-UK always seeks to promote lives of abandoned people and to consider them in human society in order to have a normal live like everyone else...

How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)

First of all this idea is new because it is the first time to implement this kind of projects in rural areas such as Panu, Ngembumu, Mokala, Idiofa, Kikwit etc. This is a serious problem that most people in most African countries, particularly the Democratic Republic of the Congo, are facing more precisely the rural areas mentioned above. There may be people who have already addressed this subject in the Democratic Republic Congo but in different environments or regions. For this project I will be able to say that I am considered as a pioneer in this environment because the people of these circles, especially the abandoned children and orphans of these recesses suffer a lot to have clean water and electricity and nobody thinks or thinks of them even the government. They lead a very difficult life, they drink water from the forest and never seen the electricity. I would be very grateful if someone could decide to go with me in DRC to see the situation in person for more details.

Idea Proposal Stage (choose one)

  • Pilot: I have started to implement the idea as a whole with a first set of real users.
  • Early Adoption: I have completed a pilot and analyzed the impact of that pilot on the intended users of the idea. I have begun to expand the pilot for early adoption.
