Explain your project idea (2,000 characters)

The project aims to; Planet – To create high-impact solutions to plastic pollution - paving the way to a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, and aiding in the restoration of our ecosystem. Prosperity- To uplift the lives of the beneficiaries by providing them livelihood and employment opportunities by equipping them with green methodology and technology to maximize their potentials and the potential of the resources they work with. Peace: Build peaceful and sustainable communities through a conflict transformation program, coaching and mentoring.
We will address extreme poverty experienced by the people living below the poverty line in Sulu and Sultan Kudarat provinces the No. 2 and 7 poorest provinces in the Philippines where the longest conflict in the world situated. We will combat the alarming problem on the number of increase of numbers of youth recruit by the bandits; they were convinced to join because of poverty. And, address the drastic plastic pollution in the Philippines being the third biggest plastic polluter in the world. We innovate environmental friendly products that are made from sustainable-produced bamboo like Bamboo ChopStraw (the first innovation that is a 3 in 1 product that can be used as drinking straw, stirrer and chopstick) Bamboo which is very abundant in the areas .
Furthermore, we will reforest the deforested areas by planting bamboos as an alternative to trees, Bamboo Forest has a big role in mitigation to climate change specifically being the best plant with the highest CO2 sequestration. The fast growth of bamboo enables it to sequester significant quantities of CO2 in a relatively short period of time and the harvesting of mature culms does not kill the plant rather stimulates further growth. With this, the use of bamboo as adaptation measures to alleviate threats imposed by local changes in climate on vulnerable populations has a high potential. One business solution addressed three major social issues.

Our beneficiaries are the head of families of rebel returnees, families who have been displaced because of the longest conflict in the world, out of school youth who are the target of bandits to recruit, solo parents, women and the farmers in Sulu and Sultan Kudarat provinces. The average daily income of the 98% of our beneficiaries at US$ 2 per day or 597% lower than the average Philippine standard income.
Increase beneficiaries’ daily income to the average Philippine standard income at US$14 by providing them livelihood and employment opportunities through the Bamboo Production, Bamboo Nursery, and Bamboo Plantation. Give them access to the social benefits like social security system and health insurance. Teach to become Agri-Preneurs by training and equipping them with green methodology and technology to maximize their own potential and the potential of the resources they work with. And, educate the partner community in a sustainable way in the utilization of the resources.
