Explain your project idea (2,000 characters)

Dowry payments in African communities is a huge challenge for a lot of young men due to different culture and traditions of the bride price. Our project will be focused on building a bridge between a man and a woman by paying for them dowry payments or a wedding event in order to save the money for the marriage.
I intend to setup a revolving fund for a family bridge by setting up a wealth management system through investment in money markets, units trusts, bonds and treasury bills. The income generated from this fund will be used to funds various dowry payments and wedding occasions.
The fund will be managed by a team of experts in financial analysts, counselors, bride and groom, wedding planners, events organizers any other team who will be beneficial to the team.
The team will be involved in selecting the bride and groom who are committed to go through the process of dowry payments and wedding event.
The criteria will be very simple, The guy must propose to the girl and commit to marry her. this is because in African culture the Man must be Responsible for His actions.
The Dowry payments and wedding events will only be for 1st time Marriages, this is because the couple may be in a financial debt to organize the occasion
The couple will be then proceed to pre-marrital counseling, this may be done by professions, church or family
The team will be in organizing the dowry payments and partner with the wedding planners to organize the occasions
The team will enroll the couple to the team in finding the next couple to get married or pay dowry and build a family bridge.
The project will be investing about $5000-50000 per event
The couple will partner with our financial analyst to organize the whole process so that the couple will have the ability to save and invest for the future.
The couple will be selected through an application process online through nomination of friends, family, and organizations through Photos and videos.

Who are the beneficiaries? (1,000 characters)

Our beneficiaries will be young couples anywhere in Africa,Kenya.
The young couple should be 26-35 years of age.

How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)

The project will focus on helping young men in this critical process which is usually their sole responsibility to fund the occasion. They only get assistance from friends and family. The insurance industry has tried to offer products for dowry but it's not inclusive. The African culture does not allow Men to be assisted unless you are man, family or friends.
The young men are disadvantaged in this type of events.

does this idea help lower dowry expectations? does it help with employment of married/unmarried couples as well? what are the social and cultural implications of this idea?

The project intends to help pay in part or in full the dowry which is usually $5000 and a maximum of $50000 for weddings. this will help the couple save the money and time in planning, some money can also be put in a money market fund to earn income monthly through compound interest. it will help the married/unmarried couples to have income even without jobs and it will act as a safety net for the young family until they find suitable jobs or start a business. The social implications for this idea is to change the way tradition expects the young men to provide for everything and in essence share the responsibility between the young men and women by equal contribution. the cultural implication will be accepting that young men and women have an equal responsibility in marriage and might face some resistance from the church and in some communities in order to protect the man's integrity and Ego's
