The project ideas is aimed to promote peace education in public and private educational institution from primary to the University level students to create values of co-existence, respect to all and live together despite of any affiliation of religion. Pakistan is a multi-ethnic, multi-religion and multi-cultural country experiencing conflicts based on religion, ethnicity, castes and sects. Religious extremism is alarmingly increasing here as is evident from the violent incidents reported from Lahore and Kasur districts. This alarming situation has ingrained the sense of insecurity among religious minorities. Young individuals who form a dominant part of society are vulnerable to religious extremism. Religious extremism is expanding in Sindh after KP and Punajb. Young people are the 63% population of the overall country’s population vulnerable to be trapped in religious radicalization and intolerance for other religions. There are several incidents in which it has been alarmed that young people in universities have joined religious violent groups and other students are also vulnerable , children and young boys also need to be considered as vulnerable groups to be trapped once they grow up . This is an alarming situation long term peace education in educational institutions is required to address the issues of peace and co-existence. The project ideas will develop 1000 peace promoters across as peace ambassadors and will further form peace clubs in their areas and educational institutions; trained 1000 teachers who further will provide peace education to children and students from primary to matriculation . In this regard advocacy for inclusion of more lessons of peace and co-existence in curriculum would be carryout for long term impact . These vulnerable young people could be change agents peace makers and peace promoters in the country.

Our beneficiaries are 1000 male female students of 20 public universities of Pakistan with the age of 18-29 years they further will reach at 3000 youth
1000 male female teachers of 200 public and private primary and high schools
5000 Children age 5- 18 years ( students of primary to high schools)
How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)
The idea of reaching public and private universities on peace education module is unique very rare work has been done for peace education targeting educational institutions. The long term work with behavioral change and policy change perspective is required . The idea cover both behavioral change approach among young people and children towards religious harmony and also cover the policy level change for adaptation peace education in universities and schools in country. The Idea of Peace museum is very unique which will be opened for children young people and general public to sensitize. Use of art and culture for peace promotion is the center point of peace education different means of communication will be applied to reach and attract e more people in this idea.

Sindh Community Foundation is a registered NGO based in Pakistan and has been worked for peace education and young people since its inception. It has run peace through young artists program across the country which impacted well . SCF has special consultative status with UNECOSOC since 2015 and has worked with UNAOC and Toyota Foundation in peace education programs. SCF's website can be reached here: www.scfpk.org

Azhar Ali Soomro is 29 years old - university student, a young artist from Hyderabad Sindh, who attended the theater training and is leading a theater group. Before training he was performing and directing his young youth led theater groups on various other social issues but the training made him realize the importance to work for peace through performing theater . He along with his group members organized a theater in University which attracted 100 students. This inspired

Frequent attacks on Hindu temples and forced conversion of Hindu girls have been witnessed in parts of Sindh. This alarming situation has ingrained the sense of insecurity among religious minorities. Young individuals who form a dominant part of society are vulnerable to religious extremism. Religious extremism is expanding in Sindh after KP and Punajb. Young people are the 63% population of the overall country’s population vulnerable to be trapped in religious radicalization and intolerance for other religions. There are several incidents in which it has been alarmed that young people in universities have joined religious violent groups and other students are also vulnerable. This was the reason to select topic .
Who will work alongside your organization in the project idea? (1,000 characters)
The Young artists network will work in support the implementation of activities. SCF will conduct MOU with the universities to start peace education program. SCF worked with 4 partners youth ld organizations who implemented peace education interventions in their localities.

SCF has 100 trained young artists across the country A youth artistic network for peace was formed and joined by 106 young artists. It is the first network of such type in Pakistan. It reached 400 young people across the country engaged in small actions on peace through individual and collective artists actions; increased linkages with each others.
