Malaria and Typhoid are the leading causes of death in children because of late presentation to the hospital
Children are subjected to old traditional practices of having an hot iron dented on their skin in attempt to cure certain illnesses. We aim to teach the parents in rural communities on prevention of certain illnesses such as malaria and typhoid and also provide education to the children of rural communities in form of schools and teachers.
Vision is to Reduce spread of Malaria and Typhoid in 50 communities, thereby reducing infant mortality.
Mission is to educate over (1000 families) in the rural communities Nigeria on the subject of Malaria and Typhoid, the importance of cleanliness, the need to go to the hospital in time and how this affects the population as a whole and also reduce infant mortality and improve the health status of children in rural communities.
Who are the beneficiaries? (1,000 characters)
Our beneficiaries are children for 0-10 years in rural communities who don't go to school and also parents in rural communities on combating the effects of malaria and typhoid in rural communities.
With this, we educate both children and parents in rural communities.
How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)
This idea is similar to the barefoot program in educating children and parents but it's more concentrated in providing education to the children alone in form of schools and teachers, and providing awareness to their parents on how to effectively combat the effects of malaria and typhoid in their children.
Our organization, Healthy Child, Healthy Society has over two years of experience on educating children of rural communities and providing quality equipments and teachers to schools in rural communities, with our experience and financial aid, we can do more, we could provide more teachers and equipments and also vaccines for combating malaria and typhoid to the people there.
A lot of organizations may have the same idea but our experience and expertise in rural missions, will help in making this project a success.

HealthyChild-Healthy Society is a non governmental organization that seeks to restore the health(physical,mental, social etc) of a child and that of a society in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large. We believe that for a society to be healthy, the child has yo be healthy.
We have carried out some projects as an organization and also in partnership with other organizations.

As a medical doctor, oftentimes we see a lot of children in rural communities who can't speak english because they don't go to school. Also, we see cases of parents applying hot iron and substances on the body of their children in a bid to heal malaria and typhoid and most of these children don't survive this. We aim to eradicate child mortality and improve education in rural communities with this project.
Please explain how your selected topic areas are influenced, in the local context of your project (1,000 characters).
For bringing peace, prosperity and planet, peace is influenced by educating the children of rural communities who are the leaders of tomorrow, we don't expect peace if we don't reach the heart of children who will grow to be responsible members of the society.
Prosperity is influenced by employing a few members of the community after training them on basic health solutions, also employing others as teachers in the schools we aim to establish.
Planet had been impacted by grooming th3 next generation of children in West Africa.
Who will work alongside your organization in the project idea? (1,000 characters)
We plan on taking up volunteers who will help in building structures that will serve as schools, and health centers.
We also plan on taking doctors from other sister agencies like the smile with me initiative, who will serve as health instructors even as we groom members of the community on basic health solutions.
This collaboration will aid in the smooth running of the project through specialization of duties to personnel.
In our last project to a rural community, we employed the services of health instructors from other agencies so as to reduce fatigue know our own doctors who served as health instructors. We also employed the services of volunteers with teaching experience to serve as teachers, that way we have greater impact, as a teacher knows how to reach the heart of a child. We believe this process aids in greater Impartation.
Please share some of the top strengths identified in the community which your project will serve (500 characters)
The community has a surplus of young people who are ready to learn. They also have a lot of young people who are tired of age long superstitions concerning malaria and typhoid having suffered the consequences, they wish to see that change.
There is also a good network of roads and means of transportation which will increase impact as we can from a particular community venture into another, without stress.

How many months are required for the project idea? (500 characters)
Getting the structures ready will take a maximum of 6 months, teaching other members of the community on basic health solutions and academics will take a maximum of 6 months. Other eligible ideas will take a maximum of 10 months, in 23 month timeline all eligible ideas about this project will be implemented.
