Explain your project idea (2,000 characters)

The idea of the project is to bridge the peace loving young people in the world to promote human flourishing through narration of historic war and peace events without any kind of differences. The challenge is that we live in a globalised world with more differences and many of us love to posses more materials and money than we actually need for our existence. Hence we have to build a bridge with like minded children in different part of the world who will be initiating the peace building process emotionally with enthusiasm and zeal. To achieve this we screen movies relevant to the group and get their critical ideas which will be implanted in their hears and which will never die till they achieve the goals of the critical ideas. The work of the team is to produce movies and short films and stories through ICT and take informal classes in informal settings. We have to train a set of teachers globally. Success of this programme lies on how the classes are taken and also on the person who handles the class. We need compassionate teachers to teach the would be compassionate young minds who will put theory into practice. The whole learning acts in the affective domain which is then translate into the Psychomotor domain through the cognitive domain according to the ability of the learners.

Who are the beneficiaries? (1,000 characters)

The beneficiaries will be children below 12 years of age all over the world who are interested. In my project place it will be a mixture of boys and girls who are below the age of 12 but above the age of 8, who are all school goers in rural and urban Tamil Nadu State of India. Since human wish is to live happily and moreover the participating pupils are those who had come up and joined on their own free will the impact of the programme is mainly dependent on the ICT display as well as the Compassion and dedication of the teacher. The participating pupils will be engaged at even intervals as designed by the programme team and will be reinforced with the particular VALUE that is depicted in the movie. In the Indian context it will be a mixture of boys and girls belonging to the rich as well as poor and slo from different caste system. Since they will all come under one roof even at the earlier stage of education they may become more tolerant and peace loving citizens.

How is your idea unique? (1,000 characters)

It is not different but it is unique because of the interaction that takes place between the incidents in the movie and the mind of the viewer and the emotional outburst which kinles the spark of peace in the viewers. Our team has a team of ICT experts and dedicated teachers. We can take the classes in gardens and mountains and in some other natural settings. Our approach will be more successful because of the like minded children, the collaborative efforts of the team members. They walk extra miles without coercion.

Hallo Micheal,

This is a fantastic idea! I visited India in 2009. To be specific, Pune where I had the opportunity to bond with children in the Deep Griha Center. I agree with you that there is an urgent need to transform the mindset of children using film. Well done! I would be delighted to collaborate with you if an opportunity arises. Vyonne
