(Digital) Street Art Festival

Amnesty international is known for its street art campaigns. Why not take over a whole area of a city, get artists and who-ever-feels inspired to contribute and bring attention to illegal detention. If the art works are digitalized, then they can be spread around the world and for exampled exhibited at the same time, in many different locations.... maybe even projected on prison walls...

Amnesty international is known for its street art campaigns. Why not take over a whole area of a city, get artists and who-ever-feels inspired to contribute and bring attention to illegal detention for a few weesk. The area could be a part of town which people don't usually travel to, or some rural far away, small village. The area would thus get re-vitalized, get visitors and exposure on blogs and in the media, which may help local store owners.

What kind of resources are needed to get this idea off the ground and/or support it over time?

- collaboration with local municipality - collaboration with street artists - PR crew - website where you can download the art works for free

How could this idea also be adapted to work in low-tech situations?

The concept is in itself low-tech... but the PR /communication should be highly viral / social media.
