I read “ Amnesty Observer App” by Vincent and thought of worst case scenario: what if they shut down everything? That happened one time for Tehran. There is some application such as what Jace said in “ Using peer-to-peer mobile network to improve communication with support network” that work with wireless networks. The question is how can you build up a large scale wireless network in a whole large city like Tehran very quickly when government turns off all other ways?
Nowadays when you're roaming in any big city around the world, gradually it has become harder and harder to find someplace where your mobile can’t detect a local wireless network. This incident has been led by numerous wireless routers spread in entire city . I supposed many of them with a very quick configuration can serve as open mesh network devices.
the whole instruction could be available online for all different models and factories.
By this way and with mass collaboration a public communication network would happen that couldn’t turn off by government. I believe these days, being connect with other people has become most strategic and fundamental feature of any urgent situation. if such a big network happened, the way that would be connect to internet would not be a big deal.
