Idea Use phones to get information to farmers do phone extensions. Farmers lack access to information by lacking who to ask instantly.

WHO BENEFITS?

All farmers especially in rural areas. Benefit 1) farmers get updates on the weather, prices, markets, technologies, and others 2) Farmers can call to ask or inquire anything that they don't understand or that has not been sent in the updates

I am an individual. looking for collaboration Based in Uganda

About 80% of the population in Africa and Uganda in particular has a phone. 

This innovation would like to provide instant access to information.

The farmers call center will collect information about technologies, weather, markets and prices, opportunities.

The center will send sms to small scale farmers for information. 

The center will also receive calls from farmers who inquire about any thing to improve their farms.

Hi Joshua,

You have a great idea!  I am working on a similar idea in Myanmar (Burma) and Malawi because they have opposite growing seasons.  What are the planting and harvest seasons in Uganda?  Do you see many smartphones there?
