AD MEDIA AWARENESS PROGRAM
My idea involve use of different media channels to educate the public on Atopic dermatitis.
Please elaborate on your proposed solution to the challenge in no more than 300 words.
My organization will use media channels such as TV programs, radio programs and social media channels to educate the society on atopic dermatitis and consequently stop bullying against atopic dermatitis. The Media programs will be run by a dermatologist and an AD affected person. Through this channel, we will also teach AD patients on ways of psychologically managing atopic dermatitis such as Relaxation training, Habit reversal training,Cognitive-behavioral techniques and
Stress management techniques. The radio, TV and social media programs will involve Question and Answer sessions and we will also be giving incentives to regular participants on a weekly basis in order to boost participation in the program.I will also create a vibrant social media online community where both AD and non-AD affected individuals can meet ,interact and support each other.I will also create an AD simulator game through which I will illustrate the course, transmission ,symptoms and ways of reducing stigma against Atopic dermatitis. The simulator game will be designed in such a way that it will create a system for non-AD people to act as AD patients In the game.I believe this will enable them to be more empathetic towards AD patients.
This project is important because it will educate the public about AD and make them understand that it is not transmitted through skin contact, thereby reducing stigma against it.This project will improve the understanding of Atopic Dermatitis in the general public.
