An app to empower eczema patients by uniting them in an online network, that would allow them to share experiences and support each other.
Please elaborate on your proposed solution to the challenge in no more than 300 words.
Eczema is a skin condition, whose effects go way deeper than just the skin. Especially for children it is a condition, which may make the patients stand out and become an easy target of bullying. This may result in the children losing confidence and minimizing social contacts with the others. It is simply very easy to feel alone in the struggle with one's own skin.
Let's make sure that eczema patients understand, that they are not alone in this. We believe, that the best support the eczema patients can get, is from other eczema patients. Together they may share tips not only on treatment of the condition, but also how to overcome the challenges they face, including bullying. Creating a network of eczema patients may also help them to see the extent of eczema occuring in the society, to not feel alone in the condition. There are millions of eczema patients out there! So let's stop hiding - let's unite, support each other and together help the people around us understand what we are going through.
We want to build an online network accessible via web or an app, which will allow the eczema patients to unite, communicate, create groups, share experiences and support each other. Furthermore, the network can also be used to inform the society about the effects of the eczema and help the people understand the condition may of their friends, relatives, classmates and coworkers live with.
