What problem does the idea help to solve and how does your solution work? (2,000 characters maximum)

The primary focused targets are children under 18 years old and women both with forced migration backgrounds. As children & women were forced to live in a completely different environment and culture and had to live with their traumas, trying not to hate the surroundings and remember their struggles. The Portable School is a platform that paves the road to children with forced migration backgrounds to an easier, loving behavior with their surroundings and overcome the traumatic barriers by doing fun experiments on how everything around us works; fun physics, fun chemistry, sound and music workshops and other interesting topics that are not taught in schools to increase their curiosity in the world around us, where most of their childhoods were based on war, blood and violence, which resulted in being unaware of the negative outcomes of most of the kids' aggressive behaviors, and in a vision to include women as a second basic goal where most of them lack the confidence & self esteem to rise their voices due to gender-based violence, abuse, child labor, the huge responsibilities that they were forced to have from a small age, especially when they had to leave their countries and many others reasons.

Geography of focus (500 characters)

The Portable School will cover the refugee camps in Europe were nearly a million refugees take place, then later in Turkey (where the idea came to mind), middle east then Africa to the rest of the world. Basically the vision is to have as many Portable Schools freely accessible in all countries and cities as needed.

Building Bridges: What bridge does your idea build between people on the move and neighbors towards a shared future of stability and promise? (500 characters)

The Portable School aims to overcome the traumatic barriers in children to be able to healthy interact with the hosting country and with its surroundings and most importantly, themselves; a bridge where healthy communication is the essential start of development.

What human need is your idea solving for? (1,000 characters)

A child with a psychologically stable mind free from traumas, anger and hatred is more able to develop and contribute to build a prosperous society, and a woman who truly believes in herself is unstoppable.

What will be different within the community of focus as a result of implementing your idea? (1,000 characters)

When curiosity is dead, the person is also dead. War destroys the curiosity and eagerness to learn in a child, thus, when the Portable School is implemented, children will be young researchers, physicists, chemists, musicians, artists, etc.. As a result, children won't think of dropping schools in the future and will persevere to reach their dreams which they learned in the Portable School. In addition to that, empowering women will lead to a society where women will be able to raise their voices to have access to decent work, control over their own time, lives and bodies, and be more productive personal wise. Women will be empowered to do the things that they have always dreamed of without fear of judgment. They will be empowered to believe that it's never too late to study, learn and have fun, and to be able to raise a generation that is free of male-dominated thoughts.

What is the inspiration behind your idea? (1,000 characters)

The idea started in Istanbul, with the huge number of children in the transportation infrastructure begging for money all day long, having zero access to education and just roaming the streets in search of the next sympathetic person. In Germany, the children have been into even worse situations where they needed to cross borders, sleep in dirty, unsafe places and deal with the sea and death. Children later where put in a situation where they had to start schools immediately, but a huge -if not all- of them needed urgent psychological support and the urge to recover to be able to love life again.

Describe the dynamics of the community in which the idea is to be implemented. (1,000 characters)

The main focus is the kids under 18 years old that were forced to emigrate from their home countries, and later to include women from forced migration backgrounds.

How does your idea leverage and empower community strengths and assets to help create an environment for success? (1,000 characters)
