Helping Hearing and Deaf displaced people learn to read their mother tongue and host Countries languages with hand sign assist.
What problem does the idea help to solve and how does your solution work? (2,000 characters maximum)
People speaking 7000 languages are in transition and need to learn to read their own mother tongue in order to maintain their culture in case they may return to their home. They also need to learn to read their new host country languages in order to thrive. Deaf people need to also learn to read, develop language skills and communicate. And everyone needs to also learn to read English.
This is difficult to do because of the limitation of learning resources.

50 million deaf people in the world are permanently in transition because they lack the educational resources to equip themselves with family and Hearing community.
80 million children are underserved in education due to displacement by political conflict or natural disasters.
4 billion people in the world can't enjoy reading a novel or function to their potential at work because their functional litteracy skills are lacking.
This idea serves them all.
What will be different within the community of focus as a result of implementing your idea? (1,000 characters)
The community both Deaf and Hearing will learn to read their mother tongue, local business and English language.

What is the inspiration behind your idea? (1,000 characters)
Literacy level is directly correlated to levels of health, social and economic development. Improving literacy results in an increase of all other areas.

By 2025 every family will have a smartphone which can serve as the family education center while they are in transition.
It takes only 30 hours for a volunteer to add their mother tongue to the reading system. Then all can benefit.

The community on the move speaking 7000 languages each have their own specific need to learn home and "new home" languages.
Typically aid organizations spend $1 million to make a literacy app to serve a people group.
This volunteer project does the same 100x faster and at zero cost.

The His Hands Reader mother tongue literacy project is a collection of volunteers that add their mother tongue language data.
An all volunteer approach to meeting the literacy needs across 7,000 languages is essential because resources are otherwise limited to serve all languages equally.
