What problem does the idea help to solve and how does your solution work? (2,000 characters maximum)

Hi ! I am working on the creation of a solidarity coop in my city dedicated to making recreational activity practionners and gamers of different types become powerful and generous donators to causes as well as actors of change engaging in collective actions when not playing. My goal is to make play a central force for good because I believe play has the power to make the world a better place. Gamers usually don't meet. Recreational activities are both more interesting and have more potential than work as we know it. Gamers have a reputation of not investing their energies in pro-social behavior This coop will focus on organizing competitions and special events so that players can meet, discuss and decide together of things to do to make the world better together with the prize money, personal and community ressources. Reflections to encourage envisioning new forms of play that can both be fun and encompass solving social problems will be encourage. Players will be invited to invest in the causes that they want to participate in acheiving the goals of. I want to make volunteering individuals giving their time in society have free participation and allow prisoners to play from inside jails to support causes. The coop will keep a part of money for participation in competition and use it to avail different communities of players with the ressources and support they need to accomplish shared intention and goals with other players aside from the competitive event organization work. In this text I will try to adapt it to the bridge builder challenge. I think people on the move should be able to have fun, play and have opportunities even while moving so that they need not have jobs but still have means of supporting themselves and making good social contribution while saving and developing economic safety, community and autonomy even before reaching their destination. Internet and mobile devices makes it possible to be part of networks and coordinate actions.

Geography of focus (500 characters)

Anyone with an access to internet, skills and talents and an interest in playing and in thinking about the way leisures and recreational activities can be channelled into actions with positive impact in communities can be members. members should compete or attend events that can help manifest goals with activist character. Ex: Drone racers could both race drones deliver or collect needed objects.

Building Bridges: What bridge does your idea build between people on the move and neighbors towards a shared future of stability and promise? (500 characters)

This project would make it possible for people not to have to have a job in order to have means of supporting themselves and to make positive contributions in their community. It will help engaging in dialogue to decide of shared intention and goals to strive forward that would be both fun and helpful in solvin social problem. I think holochain and alternative economic practices should have much to do with it.

What human need is your idea solving for? (1,000 characters)

The need to have fun, to serve and have recognition for contributions to community.

What will be different within the community of focus as a result of implementing your idea? (1,000 characters)

People would be able to decide what they want to do during the day even while they are on the move. For exemple, while walking people could play games with helpful skills for problems at hand to earn rights to participate in a fun competition in the future or later during their itinerary. They might win prices or funds for a cause they care about. They might contribute to causes with others to engage in desired collective action with people who have shared interest. They should be able enjoy good times and accomplishing positive change according to their own motivations while not having stability like people who are not on the move.

What is the inspiration behind your idea? (1,000 characters)

To make play a replacement for work and a means of activism.

Describe the dynamics of the community in which the idea is to be implemented. (1,000 characters)

People would have to sign up to a site and inform organizers of their strenghts, personal gifts and talents as well as the games that they like to play and what they might be open to do. A team of organizers and manager would take this in consideration and convene the group to dialogue about goals people could collaborate for in a manner that solves social problems but that is fun and helpful in the community. The organisation or coop would provide drones for exemple with money coming in from competitions happening so that people could engage in races but do something helpful such as racing to go pick up goods or delivery needed for the day by people in the community. The skills of generative dialogue facilitation, process consultation and networked change management in a multicultural world could serve to support the emergence of temporary collaborations with people from different sectors.

How does your idea leverage and empower community strengths and assets to help create an environment for success? (1,000 characters)

People all have talents that can bring them joy and happiness if they share them with others and discover and develop new ones they do not know they have

What other partners or stakeholders will work alongside you in implementing the idea, if any? (1,000 characters)

Where i live in sherbrooke city it is center to support youth with difficulties that I am in dialogue with. I will work with video gamers and focus on drone racing for a start given the popularity but I know there are much more interesting types of games and play to experiment with.
