What problem does the idea help to solve and how does your solution work? (2,000 characters maximum)

Problem: DIVERSITY IN UNITY The newcomers (specific people on the move; hence SPM) come with different cultural backgrounds, especially the ones who come the Middle East with an Islamic background. Roots Causes: UNFAMILIARITY OF THE OTHER I. The SPM upbringing is mainly mono-cultural, mono-lingual, mono-religious, mono-social customs and traditions. There is unfamiliarity of the other who is observed as alien however the hospitality or friendliness of the other is. Fear and mistrust of the other arise from unfamiliarity and reluctance of the SPM to try new experiences of the host-community (HC) or to blend with the otherness. II. The HC is usually welcoming but they notice cultural differences with the SPM, especially with females. They notice also hesitancy of SPM to integrate or assimilate in the HC. This information gap is due to no clear understanding of the other culture. Solution: EXPERIENCING BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF THE OTHER Understanding the otherness of both the HC and the SPM through the cultural blending is likely to bridge the information or cultural gap and build cohesive social fabric. This can take place through regularly community-led events where the HC play the role of the SPM. The SPM will see their social behavior/ conducts with the HC. The effect is going to be strong on both the HC and SPM. On other occasions, the SPM are to be encouraged to play the role of the HC. These practices are to generate cultural empathy and breaks the freezness between the diverse communities. This will result in UNITY IN DIVERSITY instead of diversity in unity. It will promote oneness and neighborness to build solidarity from diversity. Universal values could be taken as activities in the community-led events (e.g. caring for parents, supporting the most vulnerable, working together to save human lives, giving hand to the disable, assisting children who are more or less like angels with no experience of the world)

Geography of focus (500 characters)

The geographical area selected for this is Berlin, Germany, as an example of a place that has both the HC and the SPM from varied cultural backgrounds. However, the idea could be applied in more than one place where the HC and SPM exist. The target place (Berlin) is has the majority of the refugees in Germany. if the idea is implemented, it will contribute to solving the unhappy feeling of HC and SPM in some parts of Berlin. The idea may gain more fund to continue to other parts of the country.

Building Bridges: What bridge does your idea build between people on the move and neighbors towards a shared future of stability and promise? (500 characters)

The idea builds long term solidarity among the HC and the SPM even if the SPM return to their origin country. Good impact on the SPM while in the HC will help SPM produce the best of what they can do. This positive feeling is likely to be reflected on the SPM relatives and social circles. The feeling of being accepted will be carried to the SPM home country. This builds solidarity and peacekeeping even beyond the HC borders.

What human need is your idea solving for? (1,000 characters)

The idea goes beyond fulfilling basic survival needs to build prosperous communities by reducing differences among cultures and generate peacebuilding in the experienced area and later in other areas to result in building common grounds and trust.

What will be different within the community of focus as a result of implementing your idea? (1,000 characters)

OUTPUT: The idea will help the targeted area to reduce cultural tension, enhance solidarity and build peaceful relation. INDICATORS & MoV (means of verifications): 1. 80% of the participants have positive attitude towards otherness. MoV: pre-post KAP (knowledge, attitude and practice) + quotes from the participants 2. Two success stories MoV: 2 success stories with illustrations 3. Five voluntarily initiatives /examples that reflect solidarity among the HC and the SPM. MoV: 5 initiatives by HC and/or SPM that show solidarity and social cohesion

What is the inspiration behind your idea? (1,000 characters)

The HC (Germany in this instance) made a humanitarian step to support the SPM who are in danger of conflicts and their lives are threatened. A social unease is created with the SPM who require basic needs for survival and opportunities to achieve their full potentialities. The disagreement or dissatisfaction of HC and SPM created pockets of varied communities that widens differences more than increasing commonalities to utilize the diversity in enhancing solidarity at the present and the future. This situation forces some SPM to pay money to smugglers to return to their conflict affected origins for they were unable to integrate in the HC. The HC tend to have festivals or public events with caution from the SPM, suspecting violence or behaviors not in-line with the HC code of conduct . This unhealthy neighborness urges planners to find ways to bridge the cultural or information gap in this instance and in other similar instances.

How does your idea leverage and empower community strengths and assets to help create an environment for success? (1,000 characters)

The idea empowers the targeted community in terms of more peace, stability, solidarity as well as joy, prosperity and happiness. The HC will benefit from the potential skills of the SPM socially and economically. Living in peace and cooperation is what HC and SPM seek. Hello Ayid Sharyan great to have your idea on the platform for the challenge. It's exciting and I really like your idea's touchpoints. As the ideas phase comes to an end within few hours, we would encourage you to again have a last look at the evaluation criteria here:
Also, it will be exciting for your to check out other ideas on the platform, provide some feedback and explore potential areas of collaboration with them. For example check out the Bridge to a Better Life :

Many thanks Sevde for the comments and the example you provided.
I appreciate your support and value the time you spent on reading my idea.

I made few changes but I fear to mess up coherence by the changes at the end of time.

The idea I present tries to find solution for silent discomfort among the host community (HC) and the newcomers (SPM). This invisible discomfort requires smooth dialogue among the 2 parties to bring up the good humanitarian values of both (e.g. respecting the elderly, supporting the disable, providing charity to the needy...), These universal values unify the HC and the SPM on principles that all agree with. The image of both would improve and lead to acceptance of each other. If this happens, the SPM will be able to make income and be supported by the HC. The HC in turn will develop economically and will reduce expenditure on security. The challenge my start with a trial of the idea and results though slow but everlasting. This is because the addresses the root cause of discomfort instead of providing temporary solution such as improving livelihood of the SPM that may improve income but keep the HC and the SPM apart though in one place.

Thanks once again!

Hello again Ayid Sharyan  thanks for update and description, there are many associations and organizations in Berlin with similar intentions , do you have any connection with them?Asking insights or developing your idea together might be great.
Berlin is a great area for beginning of this movement, did you choose Berlin cause of you knowing someone who lives here ? I just wonder do you have any real observations or research about the area?
