What problem does the idea help to solve and how does your solution work? (2,000 characters maximum)

Many women in these Andean communities are living in poverty, and they have very low self-esteem. They need training and fair wages ,for use their earnings to improve the quality of life for their families and communities. There are many more who need skills training, but in order to expand, we needs to open a new artisans workshops. Our goal is to highlight the human impact of fair trade and the power of businesses and consumers -- women in particular -- to uplift one another through commerce and entrepreneurship. The primary objective of our project is to open new artisans workshops and train/employ more women. In addition to interviewing we will deliver a daily women-power workshop series for training participants. The topics will include: ● What does it mean to be a woman -- role in family, role as makers, supporting one another, promoting peace and prosperity. ● Women’s rights -- universal access to education -- freedom from violence. ● Financial empowerment -- value of women’s work -- managing a household budget and savings. Beneficiaries and Outcomes * Our project will focus on empowering indigenous women makers through skills training and human rights education, and it will benefit all involved by creating new commercial opportunities. Outcomes: ● Increase women’s self-esteem and financial empowerment ● Empower women to protect and uplift themselves, their families and their communities

The andean communities of Cusco Peru, we choose this area because alpaca fiber is one of the finest fiber in the world but the communities who race them, live in poverty, the are victims of human traficcking and we would like to help and support creating more job opportunities for they can increase their quality of life.

Building Bridges: What bridge does your idea build between people on the move and neighbors towards a shared future of stability and promise? (500 characters)

Our project promote the broader Fair Trade movement and encourage more commercial partnerships and tourism between Peru and the World, supporting families and make their enviroment grow and been prosperous.

What human need is your idea solving for? (1,000 characters)

Our project will focus on empowering indigenous women makers through skills training and human rights education, and it will benefit all involved by creating new commercial opportunities. This project also advances the mission of empower women worldwide as makers, consumers and allies. We are solving problems like: Poverty, low women’s self-esteem, lack of jobs and opportunities, health issues, human traficking.
