Over the course of the Urban Resilience Challenge, we'll be featuring highlights of contributions from each of our themed mission areas. This week, we've seen an incredible number of inspirations and thought-starters from our global community. As the Ideas Phase progresses, we would love for you to spread the word and invite organizations working within these focus areas to join the challenge!

Mission 1: Communication

Slum Communication Kit – A visual card deck that can be used to facilitate conversations between local experts and decision makers in urban slum communities

Mission 2: Small-Scale Infrastructure

BeeBIZ - Business Incubation Zone – A plan to use repurposed shipping containers to build a zone of workshops, offices and classroom spacesfor entrepreneurs in Malawi urban slums

Mission 3: Community

Building Better Communities – An initiative to improve the quality of construction in slum communities by providing local masons with technical training and resources

Mission 4: Maximizing Limited Water Supply

Jibu Safe Water Franchises – A water treatment franchise that will expand its mission to purify water in East African communities with solar-powered ultra -filtration

We’re looking forward to seeing your ideas for bringing resilience innovation to urban slum communities. Join the challenge to support communities as they adapt and transform to meet the challenges of climate change!
