Mission 1: Support Teaching & Learning
Educational Resource Wall – A plan to pilot visual learning walls to support the teaching capacity of educators in limited-resource classrooms of the Kakuma refugee camp.
Mission 2: Vocational Training
Empowering Urban Slum Refugees – A hands on skills building program that will train urban refugees to manufacture clean cook stoves for low income households in Kampala, Uganda.
Mission 3: Informal Knowledge Exchange
Educational Cards on Food Packaging – An idea to repurpose the packaging of emergency food supplies to serve as learning materials for children in refugee camps.
Mission 4: Overcoming Trauma
Little Ripples Ponds – An early childhood development program in Darfur that will expand to provide home-based trauma recovery for children in Syrian refugee camps.
Mission 5: Transforming School Environments
Edu + Alternatives – A community-based fund raising strategy to improve existing school environments for refugee students in Zambia and Malawi.
