OpenIDEO's NYC Meetup, led by Karine Sarkissian and Joe Silva, have been hard at work synthesizing what we learned in the Research phase of the Refugee Education challenge. In response to our challenge question,
how might we improve education and expand learning opportunities for refugees around the world? they uncovered that our research posts fell into six main themes: mental health, peer learning, self-learning, career fast-tracking, adjusting to new environments and alternative methods.
