Whether it's joining our design challenges online, or prototyping challenge concepts in the classroom, students are sharing OpenIDEO on campuses around the world.
One element that makes our OpenIDEO community so unique is the diversity of experiences, perspectives and backgrounds we bring to our challenge collaborations. In fact, over the last couple of years, we've seen our diverse community grow to include entrepreneurs, designers, consultants, social innovators and, increasingly, students and educators.
Making it easier for university students to get involved in our design challenges for social impact is
something we've been working on for a while now, and it turns out that it's something many of you are working on too! From
organising Concepting OpenSTORMS and
hosting Refinement workshops, to
conducting expert interviews and
creating official OpenIDEO clubs on campus, students around the world have found new and clever ways to share our process and our platform with their classmates.
We've been blown away by the university stories you've shared with us, so to help support your efforts to bring OpenIDEO to even more campuses, we're excited to publish our
OpenIDEO University Toolkit – a short, fun guide for OpenIDEO newcomers and veterans alike. All of the Toolkit's content is based on questions, ideas and input that many of you have shared with us over the last year – so we hope it'll prove to be a helpful resource for many of our university student collaborators.
As always on OpenIDEO, we're curious to hear your feedback and builds on this Toolkit so that the next version can be even more useful.
Let us know what you think in our University User Forums! Also, be sure to post your OpenIDEO photos, stories and learning in this Forum too so that other students can get inspired by and find ways to build on your efforts.
How will you share OpenIDEO design challenges with your friends and classmates? We're eager to hear what you come up with.
Here's to an even more diverse and collaborative OpenIDEO community!
