Our IDEO field team returned from an intense and insightful trip to Ghana. They got straight down to devising all the great posts from the Inspiration Phase into Concept Themes to stimulate your thinking around potential products, services, business models & systems. Check them out and come post your ideas – and sketches, diagrams + visualisations are all welcome to help others grasp your concepts. They've also created a slideshow which highlights current sanitation options in Kumasi, Ghana to help you consider relevant improvements.
Meanwhile over on the i20 Innovation Challenge we've had loads of questions to provoke global innovation leaders to explore tough challenges. We've decided to extend the deadline for the Concept Phase so are looking forward to hearing more from you. Keep in mind that we're keen for the Agenda Concepts to promote discussion beyond problems and towards unlocking innovative solutions – so consider how the framing of your question and description might point to opportunities. Think top-down, bottom-up and side-to-side (P2P). And remember we feature posts daily from both challenges on our Facebook and Twitter feeds.
As our community grows we're keen to hear from you if you're applying any ideas shared on OpenIDEO. One of our OpenIDEATORS is exploring the implementation of a sack gardening initiative in Mumbai. Do drop us a line if you've been inspired into action by concepts or inspirations from OpenIDEO.
