Palo Alto IDEO session, using the Brainstorm-in-a-Box toolkit to generate ideas for the Maternal Health Challenge.
Things are on the move at OpenIDEO this week! The Bone Marrow Challenge has just shifted from the awesomely active Inspiration Phase into the Concepting Phase. There are loads of posts and a set of themes to inspire your onwards collaboration on helping in the fight against cancer. And did you notice that we're listening to your feedback? OpenIDEATOR Vincent Cheng mentioned that our new Assignments feature in the Inspiration Phase sounded too much like work so we took up his great suggestion and changed its title to Missions. Elsewhere, check out our Q&A with Katie Pfeiffer from Stanford's Hass Center for Public Service.
Meanwhile the Maternal Health and Mobile Technology Challenge is in the last week of its exciting Concepting Phase. IDEO offices got in on things too with brainstorming sessions in London and Palo Alto – using our Brainstrom-in-a-Box Toolkit. We had a great suggestion from OpenIDEATOR Arjan Tupan for folks to combine tweet-ups and brainstorming – hatching the notion of an OpenSTORM. The idea here is to grab a few friends, print off a challenge toolkit and let the ideas pour. Then you can post them back onto OpenIDEO and we can get some online/offline goodness happening. There's also been a great discussion going on about designing *with, not for* communities.
Plus we've got a brand new challenge just around the corner – stay tuned for updates!
