Students at NYU Poly use lego to illustrate their Web Start-up Challenge concept
Ideas are emerging, evolving and exchanging on our Web Start-up Challenge this week! We're super-psyched about the engaged conversations folks are having around ideas. If you need some tips on where to start, we've put together a post on Using Concepting Themes which outlines the key areas we're keen to explore together – lots of options to ideate around various topics. There's also our Brainstorm-in-a-Box toolkit if you feel like gathering a group to collaborate on ideas.
We're excited to see a bunch of new student collaborators to our OpenIDEO community from universities such as Wells College, Cornell, Yale and Montana State – joining others from NYU Poly and beyond. We look forward to them adding to the rich mix of our diverse, multidisciplinary community. That reminds us: it's a great idea to add some details on your profile page to let folks know where you're working or studying, what you get up to and what you're passionate about. This helps others connect the dots on the various skills, leanings, levels of expertise and locations of our thousands of collaborators.
Lastly a reminder about one of our core principles. As most of you know we seek to be Inclusive, Community-centered, Collaborative, Optimistic and Always-in-Beta. Being always-in-beta means we are constantly looking to improve our platform and periodically update the site with new features or improvements on old ones. You can all help us by letting us know if something isn't working or doesn't seem right. Just hit the Support tab on the left of most pages of our site and tell us what's up – or if you'd like to suggest a feature, swing by our User Forums.
