Collaborative concept: Personal Voter Guidance System – from the ITIF accessible election design workshops
This week has been packed with ideating and interaction on OpenIDEO – as collaborators concept and converse over how to make elections more accessible on our Voting Challenge. It's been great to see folks using our Concepting Personas Tip-sheet to shape their ideas and create scenarios to help others engage with their ideas. Check it out and swing by with your ideas inspired by the real-world needs these personas illustrate. Also check out our Tips for Concepting, Part 2 – watch and listen for more clues to inform your ideating. Just a few days to go before our Concepting phase closes so be in quick!
Last week, our buddies at IDEO.org posted this exciting update from on the ground in Ghana. A little over a year ago, Unilever, Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) and IDEO partnered to explore different low-cost sanitation options in Ghana. OpenIDEO was part of the picture via our Sanitation Challenge. In this second phase of the project, IDEO.org is tasked with building out the brand strategy of the Clean Team toilet service and are continuing to explore and prototype solutions based on local user insights.
And a big congrats to Tom Hulme from the OpenIDEO Team! This week, Tom has been appointed as a 2012 World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. Check this interview where he answers questions about his passions and hopes for this exciting role:
