A selection of appetising ideas from IDEO's Designs On— Food

We're coming up for air this week – after all the excitement of our Healthy Ageing Challenge and before launching our brand new challenge later this month. We hope folks have had the chance to check out the winning selection as well as many of the fabulous ideas generated across this spirited challenge. We're excited to hear that a number of OpenIDEATORS are looking at prototyping their ideas and hope to hear more via our Share Your Story feature so that we can collectively celebrate their strides towards positive social impact. And don't miss the final update from Annie, our awesome Healthy Ageing Challenge Community Champion.

Meanwhile, we're cooking up our next challenge. If you're an educator and keen to get your class involved – sign up to get the latest news – plus students and educators can download our OpenIDEO University Toolkit. We're also on the hunt for a new volunteer Challenge Community Champion. Be in quick, applications close at the end of this week!

Be sure to catch the latest from the IDEO Designs On— series. Each issue challenges preconceived ideas with a diverse approach based on different branches of knowledge: product design, interaction design, service design, human factors and communication design. Their tone ranges from scientific to playful, from serious to emotional. This time round it's Designs On— Food. Packed with delicious ideas to inspire and delight. And last but not least: listen to our very own Tom Hulme, amongst others, discussing design thinking on Peter Day's World of Business on BBC.
