Inspirational Elders in Shanghai (image from Lynn Lin via Flickr)
It's been a week packed with inspiration on OpenIDEO! Our Healthy Ageing Challenge is off to a roaring start gathering insights and stories across our 7 Missions: Perceptions of Wellbeing, Expectations For Ageing, Diverse Ageing, Inspirational Ageing, Healthy Action, Analogous Transitions & our wild card Surprise Us category. It's been fantastic to note that folks are reaching out to friends and family members as they contribute to this challenge, to share and discuss thoughts – this means that social impact is happening already. Check out Annie Lin's Community Champion Update for some early themes emerging and also our Interview Starter Toolkit to help you seek insights in your own community. (We know folks spell ageing / aging differently in various parts of the world. Don't you just love diversity? Spell it how you like – we just hope you'll be joining our challenge!)
And speaking of inspirational – OpenIDEO's co-founder, Tom Hulme, presented at the G8 UK Innovation conference this week on Design Paths and Great Design. He also wrote on the Huffington Post: Don't Shortchange Framing the Question, with insights from behind the scenes at OpenIDEO.
And with lots of new folks joining us on OpenIDEO with our exciting new challenge, we thought many of you might appreciate look at how we roll – visualised for your viewing pleasure.
