OpenIDEATOR, Andrew Baranack, prototyping iPad Absentee Voting with the mission to make elections more accessible

Lots going on at OpenIDEO this week! Our Atrocity Prevention Challenge needs your input during our Evaluation phase. Swing by and assess our stellar shortlist to help our challenge team pick the winners. Know folks who have experience in contexts of atrocity or are working in this domain? Spread the word and have them join in to evaluate these ideas for impact.

We've had a slew of action updates across a number of challenges – as sponsors, OpenIDEO collaborators and others join the journey towards impact. From our Youth Employment Challenge the Barclays Apprentices' Ideas Cafe Connects Youth to Succeed in the World of Work. From our Voting Challenge we have an inspiring story of a challenge winner Prototyping for Election Accessibility. And emerging from our Connecting Communities Challenge, check out the Singapore Make-a-thon, focused on Realising Change in Singapore Neighbourhoods. We encourage all of you to consider how to be part of the impact journey in transforming ideas to action.

Also catch our latest Featured Ideator: Eric Ho – a Hong Kong-born architect and collaborator extraordinaire working form New York. Plus we've been experimenting with a group of global collaborators to kickstart local OpenIDEO Meetups. Find out about how the first one went in Barcelona and stay tuned for more news from other locations.
